Hysterical. If you’re looking for something funny and entertaining to watch this is it. Started watching it and it’s super funny. The stars play versions of themselves two decades younger and they pull it off. High school as they experienced it. We are enjoying this series and if you haven’t seen it yet give it a whirl if you’re looking for something worthwhile to watch

I LOVE this show!!! The end of the final season (I think they labelled it Seaons 2.5) was exquisite. An interaction between Maya and her brother brought tears to my eyes. Middle school sibling relationships are rarely depicted so deeply and truthfully.

The title comes from the middle school prank. You first get other kids to write pen 1, pen 2, pen 3, ... pen 14 on their arms. Then you sucker someone into joining the club and writing "pen 15." Thank god I never have to go back to middle school ever again.

We’re on season one and absolutely loving it. It’s so smart. It blows me away they’re 32 (first season) playing 13 and look the part!

LOL yes, I knew you were just "poking" (haha) fun...I wish there was more penis and vagina vs violence on the screen. It's messed up when violence is more acceptable than sexuality and other healthy issues (IMO)

Indeed!

It brings to mind how schools will cut funding for the music and the arts, but never for sports - especially their hallowed (and brain damaging) violent football program.

I started watching this @missy . It started off a bit slow for me but I just got to the part with Maya’s drum solo and omg I was laughing so hard tears were rolling down my cheeks.

we always find that funny
how your tv fuzzes/ pixialates out the naughty bits (even bum crack) but violace is ok

It was ok--I expected it to be funnier, but there were some HYSTERICAL scenes, and given that I was about that age around that time, there's some relatable stuff that made it even funnier.

OK I just finished the show and I really loved it. Thank you for the recommendation @missy . But OMG it definitely took a darker turn, and can be triggering. Just wanted to let those know who might be thinking that it’s an all out comedy because it definitely isn’t! Lots of painful and emotional moments that are just beautifully portrayed.

I am glad you enjoyed it!
I didn't even think of it being triggering so thank you for warning others.

I tend to enjoy the combo of humor with dark...sort of like real life
