Pendant for a pearl necklace

I'm not sure what they are called,is it a pearl enhancer or something similar? I am looking for a pendant to wear on a pearl strand that can be removed but I don't know what they are called specifically.

My mom wears one on her Mikimoto strand and I love it on her. The pendant is costume though. I too would love to know what these are called and where to find.

Yup, you got it, they are enhancers.

Personally, I am not keen on them, as they would not look right with my strands, and would hang too low for my liking.

Im real happy you started this tread because coincidentally i was googling the other night for ideas for pendents for pearls but didnt know what they were called

How is it all set (for want of a better word) so the pearls on either side don't get damaged ?

Hmmmm, the bail is supposed to sit snug between the two pearls on either side, so that there is little movement to risk metal abrasion. However, I am not convinced myself, which is another reason why I do not like them.

What stops them rubbing on the pearl next door ?
Is it possibly to knot them or is there some other method ??
Im thinking aloud
Maybe that's not even how they work because it would come off when one wants to wear the pearls on their own ?

I have this one, but I wear it on a gold chain instead on pearls. Unfortunately the metal post is just stuck in the pearl for this photo but has come unglued. I need to re-cement the clasp.

Thanks, it was a PP original edison rehomed through LT years ago. I need to fix it and put it back into rotation.

Something else ive been thinking of is adding a small extender to anything i get restrung for future comfort fit for fat neck days
i have a handful of little sentimental odds and sods i plan to have put on the end of the extenders (dangle style), where you often see a small pearl
