Hi!
I'm writing to see if anyone would be willing to share their tips/thoughts on a pendant setting. I'd like a diamond pendant, and I'm wondering what settings are best for really showing off a pretty stone! I'm thinking somewhere between .75 and 1.25 carats. I really want a solitaire only, not a halo setting. And, I'd love a setting that has as little metal as possible. I want to be able to move the pendant from one chain to another, depending on my neckline.
What would you go with? Any pictures to share?
I'm (sometimes) allergic to (some) gold, so platinum is my default, but it drives up the price. I love sterling silver, but it seems like a bad choice for diamond setting. Any platinum alternatives out there that I am not thinking of? Or, is there any scenario in which using sterling is OK for a diamond?
Thanks for sharing your thoughts/ideas/pictures!
