Alright we all know you guys have secret little names for eachother, if not in blatant public, how about just for each other.

OK, fine...I''ll start. I have been teased and tormented by the nicknames my fiance and I have for each other, so get your airsickness bags ready...

We call each other "puppy", and he tends to shorten that to "pups" for me...

I will plead the 5th on this one :} on the grounds she would kill me.

I am embarassed to say, Honey Bubba for him and Baby Bubba for me, and how funny Nicrez, he shortens mine to Bub!

"Bub," or The Bub, is what we call our oldest son (the younger one is The Bun).

We must be boring--all my wife and I ever call each other is "honey."

Oh no...I can beat you in the boring category LawGem....my husband and I just call each other by our names. We don't have pet names for each other!

Oh god, we've got some bad ones. I'm not a cheesy person, so I'm rather embarrassed to admit them:

Nugg
Smelly
Bunny toes
Sniffy (or snoofy)

and any variations thereof. They're bad.

And, I must not forget:

Snugget

Ok. I saw this post last night and thought "no way. NO WAY will I ever admit what our names to each other are". It's too sickening. It's completely eye-rolling & vomit inducing to our friends - so we avoid using them when anyone is listening.

Ok. So today I see others like Weemodin spilling it. so here goes nothing (eyes closed in embarassment as I type this):

Little Reow -sometimes just shortened to Reow(we have cats...so somehow the sound they make worked its way into a name for each other).
Baby Devil
Little Arp - also shortened to just Arp - a variation on a dog bark that also managed to become a pet name.
Snuggle Bunny
Snuggle bug/or just bug

We pretty much always call each other Baby. We only use our names when we are mad at each other, or of course in the presence of other humans.

Ok. I have to go hide my head under the covers until my red face disappears.

There are others, but these are used on a daily basis.

I sometimes call him Mr. Husband or Cuttlefish (Cuddlefish).

We have many other pet names that are much worse.

We know a couple who call each other Cakes, short for Babycakes. I always liked that one.

Hah we are boring too.

I didn't think we had any pet names for each other and I just asked Greg to make sure, and he replied 'no pookums, we don't'.

We are just 'honey' or sometimes if I am buttering him up or feel particularly silly...I will call him something like 'sweetie muffin pie' or answer the phone with 'Hi baby doll'.

Though we do get rather sickening sometimes via IM when we miss each other and want to go home from work...we will type things like *cudl* or *snugl*. Yeah...think that makes up for our lack of cute pet names in terms of sugar sweet sickness?
9.gif

We actually have more than I realized, so I WILL NOT embarass Rand with that disclosure here...but when do use Honey so much more often. Honey seems to be so common, so yelling out "Honey!" in a department store will have about 8 men turning towards me...

I did notice that I rarely ever use his name. Even when we argue it's "honey"...

Yes, we are nauseatingly repugnant sometimes when we wake up together, commute together (although I don't need to be in at work for another hour and a half), talk or e-mail all day, sometimes meet for lunch, then spend every second together after coming home at 7:30pm until bedtime, and still complain we don't have enough time together.

So far, I disgust myself by atually being able to spend every waking moment with him and not be bored. It's very very weird...(he is also inadvertantly entertaining)...

My husband and I are also among the boring couples. . .lol We've used silly names but only as jokes, like my husband will call me Sugar in a sleazy voice mimicking the main character from one of his favorite Bruce Campbell movies (Army of Darkness
1.gif
lol

My kids, on the other hand, have numerous nicknames. . .WEIRD ones, that I probably shouldn't even admit to, like chubby butt, kitten spice, little yum yums. lol Okay, I guess now that I've admitted these names, we can all agree that my kids are going to need years of therapy to get past the childhood notoriety such names will provide them with.

Michelle

Too funny Michelle! We called my younger sister 'Chubber' when she was young because she was so chubby (we're talking baby rolls here!) AND because at the time she was born, the Rocky movie with Clubber Lang was out. So unfortunately for her it stuck for about 5 years...the irony now is that she is STICK THIN naturally..no matter what she eats. Too funny. She also HATES when anyone brings up that nickname.

Easter baaahnny (he is a southern boy)
Buddy
my maiden last name
pook

And various adaptations of our first names

Puppy, or alternately puffy, since I'm an asthmatic.

We call each other, one or the other.

win

hmmmmmm
I guess we must be strange my wifey2b and i have about a dozen we use often and about twice that in insider sayings.

for example:
honk == hugs n kisses and can be spoken or a car horn :}

cookie puss

Haha, very silly post!
My boyfriends pet name for me is Gope (pronounced Go Pee, lol, but spoken faster so it doesnt really sound like that, however whenever I leave the room to use the bathroom he goes "See, you really are a Gope!"), and I call him Goobe (Goo bee), sort of a variation of the other. I'm not sure where they came from, but they seem to have stuck. We call each other lots of random things in between, but those are the two that have hung around for the longest now. Oh, and we do very often still call each other by our real names, but as others have mentioned, we can get pretty sickening through email, phone, or IM, haha.

So, those are our nicknames!

We're pretty boring - the usual "honey," "sweetie," or sometimes I call him "honey bunches of oats". The funny one is, his dad calls his mom "bad egg", and now his brother-in-law calls his sister "good egg". Wonder if I'll be a variation of that - probably "over-easy" or "sunny side up"?! Ha ha!
1.gif

angela, one can hope it would be sunny side up rather than rotten egg. hehee.

my dad calls my mom a 'hen' sometimes when she nags him, and when he's being stubborn, we call him the 'rooster'.
9.gif

I thought about that after I posted, but was hoping no one would think to call me rotten (unless I was truly acting that way!) tee hee.

Ha Ha ha!! This is a funny thread!!

Ok this is embarassing but my fiance calls me 'Chippie' We have and English friend that always used to refer to woman as chippys so I think that is where he got it. But the definition of a chippy is debateable... lol he claims that it's because I am so 'chippie' whatever that means..lol I spell it chippIE instead of Y. He calls me Chipper or Chip Chippie. Anyway...

I call him 'Big Bipper' and no it's not a reference to any body parts... lol I won't get into why I call him that. lol

When I am being funny I call him Hot Pants
naughty.gif
in front of people or Sugar Britches. lol I like to call him that in front of his buddies.

We use Babe a lot too.

Sorry I'm late on the thread, you guys have some great (and funny) names. I've got some good ones. I don't know if any of you remember an episode of Friends when Phoebe (talking about Ross and Rachel) says..."of course they will get back together, he's her lobster, you know they are like lobsters that hook the claws and walk arond the bottom of the tank." So now we call eachother our lobster, and when we hold hands it's like "hooking the claws". The funniest one we have is fishy and sharky..me and him respectively. This came about one day we were walking around shopping and I made a fish face by sucking my cheeks in, he thinks this is the cutest thing in the world and started calling my his little fishy....so I in turn came back with sharky. The platinum promise ring I got him is even engraved with "Fishy loves Sharky"...Imagine the face of the jeweler when I said that!!! ....and if he wants a smooch he will make the action and noise of casting a fishing rod and reel me in...I know, it's sad, blame love.
love.gif

Hee hee All that Sparkles, I love that story....Totally remember that episode! Loved it!

Did you ever notice how puttig and "y" or an "i" at the end of almost any word can be considered a nickname and suddenly sound all cutesy?

rolleyes.gif

I guess that would explain how I add an "i or y" to my guy (Rand's) name (his REAL one) and it's adorable...but here I suppose I would just be calling him... Randy?

Haha very true Nic.

Greg quite easily turns into Greggy at times. Sometimes me and the gang also call him Greggo. I've also recently been on a 'licious' kick, where I turn words into 'alicious'...so it's Greggalicious and foodalicious. Hehee.
rolleyes.gif

ATS...its funny you mention 'sounds' because we do that too. We have a 'smoochie' sound, where you purse your lips together and blow some air through them, it makes a whistly kissy noise. We can do that when we are not close-by together (e.g. he's in the kitchen and I'm in the fam room) and it's a kiss. When we are falling asleep at night we do it too, like a last good night. He started it really, a few years back...now we both do it all the time and I have caught our friends doing it randomly too! HAA.

Here goes: Snuggy woogiums, my tulip, sweet persimon, my golden haired tonsel knocker, and her replys are: Boo boo, snugle bunny, and the ocasional jack ass

Ahhh, now is that "the Ocasional Jack ass" or is it ocassionally "jack Ass" plain and simple... lol

Funny, I call him "ass" sometimes, when deeds warrant it, but usually it's a little more light hearted like, "it's OK, you're pretty..." (note the condescention)
naughty.gif

Why are bunnies and cakes considered so cute anyway? What about ferrets and pastries?!...my little sweet ferret, or Lemur...my cute little Danish...My little elephant ear...

Golden haired tonsel knocker?! WOW.

I personally like using 'assclown' instead of 'jackass'.
2.gif

Hers is baby, and peach
Mine is petunia... cause I smell like ass - no joke... really..
eek.gif

Like one of the other posts.. we rarely or never use each other names .. it sounds wierd when we do ...

ocasionaly Iam refered to as jackass, and usually when I deserve it, like when I told her about my post on this thread that term was used. But after 2 hours of begging for forgiveness I was returned to snuggle bunny/boo boo status.
