Their mother did deliver two litters eight months apart, the first litter was planned and the second wasn't. Their mother was spayed after her second litter. Between the family that has the mother and my family we have most of the pups from both litters minus two that went to approved homes of people they knew and trusted. They didn't mean for her to go through so much in such little time but she did well and is very healthy to this day seven years later.

I am glad the "mom" is well. Can you tell me about Havanese dogs? I am familiar with miniature poodles and bichons frisés, which look a little similar, but I really do not know if I have ever picked up a Havanese and do not know anything about their temperament; how they get along with people; or how they get along with other dogs. They must be fairly tolerant with their owners if they allow themselves to be dressed up the way they have been for all these photo shoots! Since they are so small, I wouldn't worry about them killing anyone, either. But how are they with children? Are they very high strung? They couldn't be more adorable!!!

What a lot of beautiful pets, Matata I am in love with your cats, did I read right that the breed is a Savannah? I have never heard of them before but will definately be looking them up.

Pandora and Miss Sparkly I love the colouring on your snakes.

Here is my contribution - this is my lovely Claude, he is 19 months old and despite the fact the he is a terrible toast thief we love him dearly. He is great with the children and I suspect he thinks he is one of them.

Oh, Lottie, Claude looks just perfectly huggable!

I'll bite! .. I love the animal threads

I won't shove too many pics down your throat but heres the story - we got our big girl over two years ago, bred her (purebred dogs, on purpose, all with homes planned) and then had five pups! We kept one pup...and momma of course.

The first pic is the boy we kept - sleeping upside down on the couch next to me (he is about 5 months in the pic, 6 months now). The second pic is the big mess of pups we used to have and the third is our two pups together when the pup was still a pup and driving his momma crazy! Notice her giving the stink-eye.

That is always my favorite position! Animals are so adorable when they turn over on their backs and open their legs! We named the position and found that a couple we knew had named it, too. I bet a lot of pricescopers have their own names for it as well. What's yours?

Haha! Actually, we HAVENT named it.. but now I'm curious as to what other people call it! Our pups do it so often- its probably their secondary position.. or maybe tertiary? they have a lot of notable sleeping positions.

Among them... the "hogtie" and the curled ball.

Deb - Greyhound people call it roaching. Sadly, I do not have any photos on this computer, and my current greyhound never roaches, so I won't be able to post a photo!

LJL - Funny! I love curled ball!

Hay Joe - Sweetpea is a big cutie! He looks like a wonderful companion and quite a character. :))

Here are my kitties. They are blue mitted Ragdolls, Zack and Zoe. Same dad, different moms. If anyone is looking for an animal that acts like a dog, but you don't have to worry about if you go out of town for a weekend, get a Ragdoll. They greet me at the door and follow me from room to room. The boy, Zack, even comes when I whistle.

Thanks! I love those little (huge) furballs. Here's an idea of how big they are. Zack is about 20lbs and super long. Zoe is a "petite" 12lbs. Ragdolls are the second largest breed of domesticated cat, right behind Maine Coons.

Holy cow, he's HUGE! Question - are they a vocal breed?

They aren't supposed to be, but mine are. Not like a Siamese who are just loud for no apparent reason. Mine are vocal when they need something, or when they are responding to you talking to them. Zack also meows when someone sneezes. It's weird. They are a really relaxed breed, both in temperment and physically. Zoe is a little more cat like, Zack, for example- if I accidentally step on his tail, he may or may not look up at me with a very soft meow. Usually he doesn't even care. Whereas if it's Zoe, she screams and runs out of the room (like a typical cat). When you pick them up, it's like lifting a sack of potatoes (thus, the ragdoll name).
