Hi all-
If there is a previous post about this, sorry to duplicate. The photographer printed us these beautiful TY cards with a great pic from the wedding on it. My question is, do I still need to buy a card to put in there with these thank you''s or can we write our note on the back? It has the back just like a photo and has a small line of text on it with the photographers info. They came with envelopes so everything fits perfectly already and I''d have to find a card or note sheet to fit if we go that route. I''m just not sure if there is any proper way to send these.
Thanks!

If I were a guest at your wedding and I received a thank you card like that I wouldn''t think anything was weird about it. I personally love getting a photo of the couple from the day on the thank you card. The fact that you are going to take time to hand write thank you cards to everyone is really great, IMO.

I''m kind of confused because first you say it''s a printed thank you card and then you state that it''s just like a photo (is it wallet-size or 4x6?). I think it would be slightly odd if it was just a regular photo and you wrote on the back. If it were me I''d be more inclined to buy blank cards or cardstock to write the note.

Thank you for your input! I appreciate any suggestions and outlooks.
No, it''s not a printed note. The photographer printed them for us, as in the pictures. The front is the photo with our names, wedding date and the words ''Thank you''. The back is blank except for the regular ''stuff'' on the back of a picture ie. the date.
There is no message or note printed anywhere. We will write that part ourselves. But I feel the same way- I think it is a little informal to write on the back of the photo as a wedding TY note, especially since there is some random writing. Maybe I''ll just have to test one and see if it looks too informal.
Thanks again; sorry to confuse.

Hmmmm... If its just a photo then I would get a thank you card to put it in. If its a thank you card with a photo ( for example we ordered photo thank yous and its a photo slipped into a slot in a bifold CARD) then it would be fine. Photo thank yous are such a neat memento for everyone! I''m sure everyone is going to love it!

I''d be a little confused if I got that.

What about gluing it to the front of a blank thank you note? Or using photo corners to put it on. (Scrapbooking stores should have something you can use. I bet you could take one of them to a scrapbooking store and have people there help you figure something out.) That way it''s on there and you can use it, because it sounds lovely, but you still have an actual thank you *card*.

I will ditto this suggestion, sounds like a great idea. OR, you could just glue it to some nice cardstock and write on the back? Would that seem less weird than writing ON the photo?

Ah I totally envisioned the wrong thing. I thought it was like a picture postcard that the photographer had printed, not a stack of photo paper type things with the thank you picture.

Yes, I agree with the others that it would look great if you found a bi-fold blank card and mounted the photos. Michael''s, JoAnn''s, and AC Moore I think all sell stacks of blank white bifold cards for not too much money.

I think you could get away with it if you test out a fine tip photo pen. (in case of chemical contamination-seeping through to the front).

It might be fun to put the whole thing into a frame for the recipient, harkens back to bygone days...I imagine someone changing the photo from the frame 30 years from now and stumbling upon the little intimate note on the back.

Thank you for the suggestions! I think I will check Michaels/AC Moore and see what they have to offer.. put my creative side to work! After another look at the back of the picture where we would write I don''t think a TY note would look right. Maybe just ''Love, Livinthedream & Livin''s hubby'' would work on the back.
