I'm such a sucker for pink sapphires and the price was attractive plus the seller accepts returns so why not?

Will post photos when I get it, in the meantime here are the seller's photos. Not great but the color gives me all the feels. It is a 5.26X4.29X3.11mm oval mixed cut, little bit of a window there that hopefully isn't terrible in person.

It looks lovely. I’m sure it will be. Your gems are always so pretty.

It's a bit small but the perfect size for a stacker ring. The color is vibrant and gives me the feels as well.

I love its chunkiness and its color. Girl, rock that rock!!

Oooh, I like it! The color is so pretty and nicely saturated. I'm excited for you!

What a rich, vibrant color! It will stand out when its set.

I like the colour. If it was mine, I would set it in a Gypsy setting in polished white gold, may be with two small MRB sidestones, for work/daytime wear.

DK :))

Thank you for all the nice comments. I probably won't set it right away since there is another project in the works but the idea for a gypsy setting is great, wouldn't have thought of that.

I really don't buy loose stones because I hate the whole process of finding a setting or having one made so she may never get set but just had to have her :kiss2:

That vibrant color sings to me! Enjoy!

Sometimes the best stones just so happen to be itty bitty. That said, who know, being a sapphire, could have some treatments. But even with that, the color is very good on this one. I say stick it in a cool setting and rock it frankly.

Thanks @peacechick, setting my own stone makes me so nervous but it seems some of you have had good success so might have to put on my big girl pants and give it a go!

It is here! What's more interesting is it came with an EGL report. Does that actually hold any water with colored stones?

I tried to get pictures in all different lighting. I paid less than $50 for it so I'm happy with that even though there is a window.

It's pretty, StephanieLynn! Looks like you found a winner! I really like these pink sapphires that change personality with changes in the light. Rock it! :appl:

Looks to be ok and worth having. I didn't know they did colored stones...lol (maybe only the big 3 though)

Thank you @MissyBeaucoup, I do love the shifts in personality on these little stones so much!

@Arcadian, I'll be honest I was kind of unsure about the EGL report, I haven't seen one for colored stones but then I'm not super experienced either. So I was so excited about the stone but then really stumped about everything else!

If you get a closed back ring setting, you can close up that window, I think!

Something like this Stuller setting:

@peacechick, not sure if it's me but the link isn't working.

@StephanieLynn, another beautiful pink stone!
Girl, you are on fire!

Oh I like that first setting, that would probably do the trick, thanks for the pictures @peacechick!

That's my favorite color! Can't wait to see how you set it!

Thanks @doberman, it will be a while before it gets set but it's too pretty to sit in a box for eternity.

That color! So great you got this stone! I bet that window disappears once it’s set. Maybe you could take it to bench and play around with some settings to see what takes care of the window. I like the first one peacechick posted. It would also probably look great set in a 3 stone.
