Hi all

My fiance (!) proposed to me 3 weeks yesterday. It has been so exciting since, announcing it to everyone, showing my ring to friends and just generally deciding what we''ll do next.

It is a .77ct D/VSI - we loosely based it on the Tiffany setting, but we went for half-round instead of a knife edge band and the setting is slightly different - not exactly how we wanted it, but similar enough that we didn''t want to cause trouble and have him do it again. We were sort of happy with our jeweller, but we were extremely specific about what we wanted and he did something different anyway. He said that he thought this way looked nicer. Oh well. We won''t be going through him again, even though the workmanship was beautiful.

Sorry if the photos are bad, I can''t seem to take a good one!!!

Your ring is gorgeous. Always love princess cut.

I am sorry you don''t get to have the setting as you wanted. I always dislike a jeweler who being a smarta** and end up not doing what he was told to do.

You ring is very beautiful! I`m sorry your jeweller didn't exactly follow your instructions, but it still turned out stunning!!

I may be biased, as we may be almost identical twins - I have a princess 0.78 D/VS2 in setting that looks like yours (even the profile) except mine is half knife edge.

Congrats on the engagement!! Beautiful ring!!! Princess cuts are soo pretty!
