Picked up my ring on Friday

After about a week and a half worth of waiting I finally got my stone and ring back. This probably isn''t the best picture, but I have more.

It''s very pretty! What kind of stone is this?

It''s a 5.7mm spinel that was cut by Dan Stair in an American Set setting I bought from Ebay. The ring size is 8.25 (I have huge fingers). I was worried the stone was going to look small on my finger but it doesn''t look as small now that it''s mounted.

I know it''s a color changer but inside it''s usually more purple colored. I don''t think I''ve ever seen it this color but I think it''s a nice photo of it.

Last one and still in the bathroom. I really like when it shows purple, but I also like the blue a lot.

The spinel is a medium blue to medium purple color shifter. Outside it''s a steely blue color and inside it always looks more purple. It''s also super sparkly! Too bad that doesn''t show up in the photos for you guys to see.

Thank you for all of the wonderful comments. I''m very happy with it. I wasn''t sure what to expect since it was my first project. At first I thought it was set really high but I''ve gotten accustomed to it. I was also going for a dainty setting on purpose since the stone is smaller. I also didn''t realize how dry my hands were until I took these pictures. I had to break out the hand cream. haha.
