K a little info about the ring.... it is 100% custom made... 14K white gold... Center diamond is a .65 E VS1 Ex Cut Ex Sym Ex Polish all the diamonds around are F''s with same specs as center diamond. This is the exact ring my girlfriend wants and will be getting this weekend =)

Lovely

It looks so distinguished. It will look beautiful on her hand. If this is the ring she has been dreaming of, then she has great taste. That halo really compliments and enhances your stone.

Good luck, and remember to post hand shots! As urban legend has it, posting hand shots on PS after a proposal will guarantee a long and happy marriage

Thank''s for the lovely comments! I cannot wait until she see''s it!! I also love how it turned out.. I still cannot believe how the Jeweler made it EXACTLY how I wanted considering I showed him a very basic picture.

Beautiful ring!

It looks gorgeous!

thanks for more comments!! I''m really excited to see her reaction... it''s going to be totally unexpected... and i''ve been nagging at her telling her that the ring she wants would cost to much right now etc.... etc... so she is thinking we''ll get engaged sometime early next year...

Nothing like a great suprise, with a little deception involved. GOOD LUCK this weekend!! Stunning Ring!

Its fabulous! She is going to just be over the moon!!!

Best of luck!

i''ll try to get some better pictures tonight... any tips as to how to get the diamond to show up better? I''m not sure if my camera is just that crappy but it''s not showing up that nice in pictures... it''s very very nice in person but looks dark in these pictures...

Congrats on the ring! Looks great!

Are you using the macro setting? (little flower symbol)?

Also, try it on a window sill with the light coming from behind.

Don''t zoom the camera - just hold it close to the ring and half press the shutter until it focuses.

As far as light goes, stay away from halogen/flourescent etc right on top of the stone - it will just bring out the fire and make it look dark for pics (well that is what I find anyways!)

Good luck!

ahhhh... definitley using macro... but the lighting could explain why it's showing up dark... is there any sort of artificial lighting that gives a similar effect?

Similar effect to the sun?

Try using any light behind the stone - some people swear by the fridge!
