I''m always curious to see the invitations people choose, and I thought this might be the place to put yours (or a sample) on display. How ''bout it?

I''ve been agonizing over the invitations for months now. What I wanted was out of budget considering the number of guests... so rather than pocketfolds, we''re doing a printed vellum folder. It''s worked out for the best, I think. It looks better in person than in the picture though.

This is what we are going to order. We JUST ordered our save the dates yesterday with the same look/pattern to them, but fewer dandelions at the bottom.

I cannot decide (invitations are my department- music and wine list FI''s department!)
I love pocketfolds, and we do have a lot of info to include, but our venue is a country chapel within a living museum of the 19th century, sort of rustic, and it''s in the fall.
When I found these on www.invitesite.com, I fell in love, and they have coordinating programs. I got a sample, and the feel of the handmade paper is amazing, and it''s a combination of rustic and elegant, and different too...

I''m torn, but here''s what we''re leaning towards....
from www.invitesite.com (partial diy, but you get the kits from them)

Ok, I know I already posted our most likely candidate,
but I had saved this link and I lust after these invites-
something about the embossed lace border, the handmade paper-
oh my, alas they are out of my budget...especially for flat printed invites

(but maybe if i save on the cake and the limo...

Below are examples of my invitations. Mine will be different colors (the first layer will be brown, then spring green with a green ribbon, and an ivory top layer) and instead of the monogram, a bird graphic.

I had originally chosen different invitations, but FH and I just weren't 100% happy with them. I adore these, though. I'll be sure to post pictures of my mock-ups as soon as I get them.

All of the invitations are so pretty! Could someone please help me post the pics of the links I attached above? I''ve tried to do it so many times (I followed the directions and everything!) but it won''t work. Thank you for your help!

Sure, zoe. The first needs to be print screened, but here are some others.

Another of your faves:

To post pics, all you have to do is save them, and when you save them, name them as something weird (however long the title has to be, like callainviteszoe). Then, just press the attach file button in the top left corner, press 'browse', find the picture on your comp, and after, press 'upload'. Just make sure the files aren't too big or named something generic like 'invites'.

Thanks EBree! I appreciate it.

Aw, I posted mine on someone''s thread requesting pics a long time ago and have no idea what it was called, but all of these posted are beautiful! I LOVE receiving invites and always appreciate the thought, time, and money that goes into putting them together, you all have done a wonderful job!

Neatfreak ~ Where did you order those? I really like them!

ETA: I just found the website in another post. Thanks!

These are so far my favorite!

It's the only boy and girl I found where the hair color is reversed girl is the brunette, boy is the blonde (like me and FI!)

Also, I was a BIG converse kid, I even had pink converse at one point! These invitations are so us!!!

ETA: FI used to wear his socks like that in the 80's hehehe

JCrow - those are probably the nicest invitations I''ve ever seen! And then I read the other thread and find out you designed them yourself?! Wow. Amazing. Will you do mine?

Just kidding..

Our invites are a work in progress, cause it''s really early. We want to use an illustration that my grandmother drew for my mom''s wedding invitation - it''s a trillium. We''re struggling, though, cause the original is drawn as a standalone cover, with the text on the inside of the card. I want it to be all on the same page, and obviously, the flow is just way off. I keep flipping it and flopping it and stretching it and smooshing it every which way, but I think we''re going to have to consider redrawing the stem to make the correct proportions. My dream would be to get them letterpressed, but not sure if it will be in the budget.
