Very nice collection! My fave is your peridot, I like the cut and the setting!

How lovely!! I love colored gemstone rings!! That amethyst is really nice.

The peridot was purchased as a present to myself with some money from my dad (Christmas) one year. I love the emerald cut and the setting. Before I got my new wedding set, I was wearing it on my left hand most of the time since my old wedding set did not fit.

The amethyst was purchased a local jewelery store on the square. The store dealt in a lot of estate and consignment jewelry sales but if I remember correctly, this was a new item. I love it but it is too small for my ring finger and too big for my pinky. I want to have it sized but am afraid it will ruin the setting.

I love the clean work on the peridot and the color! The setting on the amethyst is fantastic but I don''t care much for dark colors lately and I''m a bit tired of rubies.
Great collection, thanks for the pics!

Gemnut,

The ruby ring was not something I would have picked for myself. My grandmother selected it for me and it is special for that very reason. I only wear it occasionally. The amethyst was selected during a time when I was working in a CPA firm and wore a lot of more subtle colors. At the time, you didn''t see a lot of dark amethyst out there. However, the peridot was picked out by me for me. I love the color and have received many compliments about the ring. I love emerald cut stones! I would have an emerald cut diamond if I could afford the size I liked.

A grandmother''s gift is one of the most precious things you can have. I wore a pearl ring that was a gift from my dearly departed great-aunt (who was like a grandmother to me) for years and I was heartbroken when the pearl was scratched badly I don''t know where. I have bought a lot of jewelry since that time but that modest little pearl was the ring I loved the best.

Gemnut,

I probably get my love of jewelry from my grandmother. She has some exquisite pieces that my dearly departed grandfather gave her as presents - some of which were just surprises. She bought me my first fine jewelry - A sapphire ring with tiny diamonds around it . I still have it but can''t wear it due to the size (plus I have lost at least one diamond). I haven''t taken a picture of it but I definitely should. Those pieces of jewelry that have emotional meaning are probably the most beautiful due to the sentimental value.

They are all so pretty!
