It's a size 7 and it's as pretty as it looks in the photos. The spinel is IF clarity, it's purple - tho moody - and beautifully cut by Gary at Finewater Gems. The diamonds are white, clean and well cut, and roughly .5ctw. The band is a softened tri-wire - I asked DKJ to flatten the three wires ever so slightly, so it's just a little more subtle.

The spinel is 3.84ct IF, 9.2 x 7.8mm, and it's from Burma.

It's a size 7.

Thanks, @prinsad. Yes, she's one very pretty girl. My pieces by DKJ are always set by their uber bench - for which I pay a considerable mark-up. But it shows. Look at the close up of that halo - super-even with every diamond. Worth every penny.
 
For anyone interested, this ring cost me a smidge over $3500.

Well, I'm kind of shocked this hasn't flown out the door! The stone is beautiful and the workmanship is awesome. I'm going to do ONE price reduction on this of 10%.

Ugh I love this ring, but I'm in the middle of scheduling the closing date on a house... and then have to gut that house :( I'm so on the fence about this!

I don't think I can help you on this! But speaking as someone who has gutted more than one house (about 5, in fact!) - there's no end to it. Whether that reality makes you more or less likely to buy a ring is a personal preference, I think, because you can argue it both ways.

What I *can* tell you, tho, is that this stone has a lovely puffy top and a truly beautiful cut. The workmanship is overall outstanding.

On the other hand - feel free to post photos of your new house! :))

Hi @mrs-b! This is a gorgeous setting from DK! Also equally the spinel! Don’t mean to side track, but right now my daughter and her BF are talking to DK about a halo platinum setting for her future engagement ring and I wanted to ask you if they should specifically ask about using DK’s Uber bench to make this halo? This is DK actual picture of a halo my DD wants for her ER.

I would, if it were me. I have to say, tho, DKJ's pave halos are like a specialty, so I don't think there would be any problems, regardless of which bench they used.

But even so - as I said - I would, if it were me.

I love a good halo! Lovely ring they're considering - congratulations to them both!

The ring with the rubellite center is my Christmas ring and, again, part of a set. (You keep liking my sets of things!)

As for the 'best bench' - there are a number of very good benches who work for DKJ - really top class benches. But I have one bench in particular that I like. he's very good, but very - and I mean VERY - slow. It costs a little more to use him because of the timing factor. Since I started working with him, tho, DKJ have put on a couple more benches who are probably as good as him, so the situation may have changed. I would call and ask, if that's the sort of thing you're looking for. it is, for me, but not everybody cares one way or the other - especially if it's, say, a very basic design.
