downloadfile-6.jpeg downloadfile-7.jpeg This is the most beautiful setting ever. I adore it but I have purchased an upgrade stone. Love this Dahlia so much that I plan to set the new stone exactly the same! Sizeable 6.5, 2.5ct, 8.6mm center. $2100. Please let me know if you are interested! downloadfile-8.jpeg

Gorgeous!!!

@ceg - is this at ALL flexible for the center stone? I have an 8.77mm stone. Is there some way of finding out? Would you be willing to check with Caysie?

Of course! I will text her tonight! I think it probably is. What is the depth of your stone?

@mrs-b

Caysie does not suggest going smaller but it can accommodate 8.75-8.8mm up to 5.75mm.

Is it a colored stone? She says that a bowled out pavilion that colored stones sometimes have can be challenging set in a mounting for a MRB. She didn't say impossible. =)2

Is the ring with Caysie?

No. It is with whiteflash. I should get it back tomorrow or Friday.

It’s gorgeous, not sure if you would be willing to post to Australia, but I’m sure you’ll have plenty of interest as it’s a stunningly setting.
My diamond would fit the dimensions, but I’m unsure if a jeweler here would be able to set the diamond and size it to a size 4.5 -4.75. Probably a question for my jeweler but would the prongs need to be reworked, or is it a case of just seating the diamond and adjusting the prongs to hold my diamond?

Good luck with the sale, I’ll watch this thread, just in case it’s a there’s a possibility of you sending it overseas.

MY DREAM SETTING

I would ship to Australia!

Hi @ceg - I've been giving this some thought and I think I need to stick to my original plan, which is to set my stone as a 3-stone. My diamond fits the parameters of this setting on all counts, and this is by far my fave CvB design, so it's basically killing me to take a pass on this - but I'm trying to show some discipline here. So it's a pass from me.

I do hope your gorgeous ring sells, tho. It's a beauty!

@mrs-b I think you will love your stone in a 3 stone! But if you change your mind, let me know. It really is a stunning setting. I wish I could make it magically fit my new stone, lol!

Hi @ceg Would an 8.76x8.94x5.78 OEC fall outside of the max parameters
ANY wiggle room to Caysie recommendations? Seems like its just a wee bit too small for my stone. :cry2:

@Bonfire I will ask her but I think 8.75-8.8 is the wiggle room. I'll get back to you.

@ceg I hope you don’t mind a few questions as I’ve never purchased a pre-loved setting before. My diamond’s dimensions are 8.74-8.79 mm x 5.14 mm, could you please confirm whether my stone would fit and whether it possible to size to 4.5. I am happy to send Cassie an IG private message, but I’m not sure if I would get a reply, some random person asking about a preloved setting.

The other thing is, I would prefer to see if a local jeweler could remove my stone and set into the new setting. I’m wary of sending my diamond overseas as I’ll probably get hit with tax that’s already been paid on the initial purchase, plus an insurance expense.
When your diamond is removed, is there much ‘damage’ to prongs. Sorry, I hope this doesn’t offend but I have no experience with pre loved. Is resetting a diamond into a preloved setting pretty easy for most jewelers to handle, plus resizing a Platinum band. I would be devastated if my jeweler butchered that glorious setting.
I don’t really have a jeweler that I know well enough to ask, it was 10 years ago I purchased my upgrade!

@Bonfire Unfortunately caysie thinks your stone is a bit too large. :(

@Sparkles88 Caysie says that your stone will fit perfectly! She is going to check with her bench about sizing. It is quite early on the west coast but I will let you know as soon as she gets back to me.

As far as unmounting, whiteflash still has the setting and I hope to get it back Monday or Tuesday. Whiteflash is highly regarded and does this kind of stuff all the time. I am sure it will be fine.

If I were you, I would start a thread in rt calling on Australians to recommend a bench to do tge work. I believe there are quite a few Australians that regularly post. :)

Hopefully this will work for you!!!

@Sparkles88 I made a louptroop.com listing with my contact info.

Thanks @ceg, I’m trying to find out if the band is sizable. I called the jeweler I bought my original ring from and they said they need to see it, they were concerned that due to a big ring size difference and diamonds on the band it might not be possible :(2. I’m going to email them some photos and see what his response is. Thanks for answering all my questions.

Hey sparkles88! I have asked caysie about the sizing and am still waiting to hear back. I will let you know. It may be next week though. Hopefully your jeweler will know if he's comfortable sizing it that much too. :)

You need to get Caysie to size it not someone in Australia, if an Aussie buys it. Caysie's bench do a much better job of resizing than anyone will here.

@Sparkles88

Here are a few pics with the stone removed. The prongs look fine and undamaged. I hope you can tell from these pics.

Thanks for posting more photos @ceg, WF did a great job of removing your diamond. I’ve sent you an email, someone going to love your Dahlia setting, it’s so beautiful.

Gah!! This is the first time I wish my stone was just a wee bit smaller!! :x2

Hi! you posted on my question a few days ago (THANK YOU)
https://www.pricescope.com/community/threads/help-with-diamond-search.238164/#post-4293255
and unbelievably the diamond someone suggested for us was yours! Now I see your setting ( which is so beautiful) I don't know how to private message you, I think because i'm new to the forums. Can you message me? I would love to talk with you about your previous center stone and this setting. TIA - Stephanie

I have a listing on loupetroop.com that has my email address. Just search dahlia and it should come up. I can't link on my phone for some reason but there is also a thread on smtb for the ring. It is a stunning setting!!! In fact, I am having my new stone set exactly the same! I have the setting, wf has the stone. @stephanie coon

OK! I think I sent you an email
