Platinum Screw Back Basket Setting for earrings

I have a platinum screw backs basket setting for earrings. There are 2 pieces for sale as a set

It will hold a 0.5ct round stone or 5.25mm round stone. please see picture to confirm the sizes. Note the stone is NOT FOR SALE only for comparison in sizing.

I swam into a swimming rope 5yrs ago and you can see there is a slight kink in one setting. The jeweler has stated that this is all ok.

Hey Greg!

Just to ask a potentially dumb question... are the figures in your diagram correct?

Should it be 5.3mm at the top of the basket and 4.36mm at the bottom of the basket?

HEck yes!!! thanx for the pick up.... my jeweller did it for me whilst my princesses were getting the make over! LOL sadly i cant edit that post bu have updated LT thanx for the super keen eye!
