Platinum watch to bracelet find

As usual, reading PS has recently inspired me with ideas and covering things that never occurred to me before. After reading @Bron357 thread below, I was longing for something similar.

Then, low and behold, I came across an Ebay listing for an antique Bucherer platinum and diamond watch that the movement did not work and has come loose. It has 1.67 carats of OEC (another thing I had no idea I wanted until recently! ), weighs 33.1 grams of 950 platinum, and happens to fit my smaller wrist like it was made for me! Oh, and I got it for a song. Like, near scrap song.

And to top it off, I have a 2 ct Paraiba (not strikingly vivid, but i won't argue with the GIA report) that will fit perfectly in place of the movement!

Send her off to David Klass and get him to make an “insert” to fit to set the the Paraiba and to cover up any little gaps with a sprinkle of wee diamonds.
That is a $10,000 plus bracelet any day of the week.

Thank you! I was definitely planning on sending to DK as I've been admiring all his beautiful work, and am a bit timid to take to a local jeweler that I'm not sure has the experience with antique pieces. I will be showing hubby your comment so he really "gets" why I'm so excited

Wow! If you got it for near scrap, those diamonds must have been all free, and they aren’t tiny! Each one looks like it could easily be in an e-ring. Mind blown.

There are a total of 10 "large" diamonds which taper in size towards the center. Including the bezels they range from 3.4mm to 4.7mm, so not they aren't as big as they appear in the pics. But they are very white and super sparkly. Yes, I got it for scrap plus <$10 per stone. I'm a happy camper
