Please help me choose Emerald cut diamond!

Our wedding anniversary is coming up and I want to upgrade my wife's stone. Her current and original stone is a 1.2 carat Princess.

I know she likes emerald cut, so that's I'm sticking with. Please help me choose one from a reputable online dealer.

3+ Karat is a must
Budget is $45K for the stone only

Do you know what color or ratio you are looking for (slender or chubbier emerald cut)?

Do you know what color or ratio you are looking for (slender or chubbier emerald cut)?

I purposely left that information out to hear recommendations. I’d like the best 3+ “classic” cut emerald I can get for my budget.

Obviously with a higher budget I could find beauties near colorless and perfect cuts…but as a diamond amateur I am really struggling finding something “good” for my budget.

Emerald can show more color, I wouldn't go any lower than H for that size stone, and some florescence (faint or med) helps, I wouldn't go any lower than VS2 either.

Would H color be ok for Emerald cut at 3 carat? I would thinking given the size of the surface it may look too yellow when set in a white gold setting...If you believe H color is ok then it opens more options
