Hi all - I'm starting a new thread now that I've narrowed down my round diamond selections. Big shoutout to everyone here who has helped educate me thus far and the kind folks at Whiteflash. I'm ready to make a decision and would love to get some final thoughts from this group on what the best option is. Attached are some side by side photos and video! I was leaning towards #2 at first but looking at the video, it doesn't look like it shines as much as the others but maybe that's just the direction of the lighting? The only one I think I can rule out is #3 due to the haziness as mentioned below. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

  1. 2.168 I VS2 - https://www.whiteflash.com/loose-diamonds/round-cut-loose-diamond-4312096.htm
    • Overall feel this one is very clean and is A Cut Above.
    • $21.3K which is slightly under budget (so another pro)
  2. 2.321 I VVS2 - https://www.whiteflash.com/loose-diamonds/round-cut-loose-diamond-4273464.htm
    • Not a "A Cut Above" but is expert selection. There is some variation in the hearts which prevented it from being ACA
    • Awesome clarity but you lose on not being the highest cut
    • $23.7K which at the top of my budget
  3. 2.425 H SI1 - https://www.whiteflash.com/loose-diamonds/round-cut-loose-diamond-4189819.htm
    • Not a "A Cut Above" but is expert selection. There is some haziness in here which can make it less transparent in spotlight lighting. I think this is going to be a tough thing to overcome
    • $24.2K which is a little over budget
  4. 2.068 G SI1 - https://www.whiteflash.com/loose-diamonds/round-cut-loose-diamond-4107634.htm?#
    • Smaller than the rest but better in color; inclusions look fairly minor from eye level
    • $22.2K which is middle of the fairway of budget
Which options would you go with? I'm planning to set the ring in a simple micropave titanium setting. Most likely 6 prong.

Thanks again for your help!

I commented on you other thread.

FYI, stone & light position matter greatly. Remember, even the best cut stone looks like a dud in the dark.

It's a little more work but if you can align the individual sparkle videos next to one another, that can sometimes be revealing. What I like is that each stone was the star of the show in their own video and you don't have to worry about if this stone or that stone was closer to a light.

Just a thought.

I wasn't able to capture at the right moment and I have the stones all out of whack. But my tab with the G was throwing the biggest rainbow fire. The 2.321 was second.

Just to point out the obvious on higher color. The advantage to me is that I get a whiter stone in more color environments. But then this is from someone who is color sensitive, notices color and prefers whiter form an MRB. If you have a less color sensitive person or someone who prefers warmer, then forgo the G. In order of my preference.
1. G
2. If the 2.3 is whiter than the 2.1, I would go for the 2.3.
3. H is off the table. I want zero haziness in any environment from any distance. Mind clean thing for me.

I don't like #3 or #4.
#1 is the one my eyes keep returning to.
#2 would be me second choice.
