please help me find what my girl wants

So I finally got my partner to go look at rings with me, and she has finally figured out what she wants. Now can you help me figure out how to get it and who to get it from?

1) the engagement ring: she wants a 5 stone 1.5 ctw ring in platinum. That part seems not too hard since that's a pretty standard style. I was looking at Brian Gavin or Whiteflash for starters.

2) the wedding ring. This is the harder part. She wants another 5 stone band, with 2 diamonds (same size as the ones in the engagement ring) alternating with 3 sapphires. I'm guessing this would have to be custom? For this one I'm not even sure where to start. Help?

If you want the 2 rings to match, you may want to go to the same vendor. WF and BGD both do custom work. You can find other custom setting vendors here. I would chose one that is in your budget, has experience in making the style of ring you like, and communicates well with you:

To find threads on 5 stone rings, just type in "5 stone ring" into the search engine on PS. Here's one such thread:

For the sapphires, I would do a search for "sapphire" if you want to learn more about them on previous threads. There are a lot of threads about them since Princess Catherine started wearing a sapphire. Also, please see the stickied thread by LD to learn about colored stones:

I presume the engagement ring is a 5 stone all diamond ring graduating is size? What size sapphires will you be looking for (approximate mm size)? It sounds as though it will be easier to have BGD or WF source these for you since they will be able to match them up in terms of colour and size. They are most likely to have at least one or two sets for you to pick from and we can help vet which choice might be a better one.

Yup I would have the vendor source the sapphires for you if possible. That way everything will look uniform across the board.
