Should I really not consider this MRB in a ring? It's a GIA Triple EX 1.12 H VS2.

Thank you!

Why wouldn't you consider it? It scores in the "excellent" range on all HCA categories and scores under 2.

Ditto @lovedogs
Still worth considering.
This stone might be considered more on the shallow side of the good range.
Do you have a picture/video or a link to the stone?

Can you get an aset or idealscope? They are hard to get right now thanks to covid.

"but these stones can be great for earrings and pendants"

I do not have a picture/video. I haven't asked for the aset or idealscope. What would I be gaining if the stone had more depth? Fire? Brilliance? Are those the same??

That usually refers to stones that score under 1 on the HCA, but its debatable and many people think that diamonds with HCA under 1 are just fine for engagement rings

Ps. I wouldn't buy a diamond without pictures or videos unless there was a hassle free, no cost return policy.

I won't. I'm using a trusted PS Vendor. I'm just trying to weed this out if I shouldn't consider it. I'm looking for the best bang for my budget.

I have been looking at this all wrong! What is the ideal range for a HCA score?

HCA isn't a decision tool, it's a rejection tool only. Anything with a score under 2 = consider. Anything with a score over 2 (unless its like 2.5 and you've seen it IRL and love it) = reject.
