So after months of trying on over 50 dresses I have a few I do like. The problem is I don't know which one to pick. I used to think I knew exactly what I wanted my dress to be like but now I don't. I still don't have the gut feeling when you know the dress is it. I need some unbiased opinions. I am extremely frustrated and worried that I am picking the wrong dress.

1. My sister loves this dress and I can get it as a sample for half the price.

2. A really plan dress but I love it

3. Another one by the same designer as the first one

I think the ''plain'' one is the most flattering to your figure.

I find the first and third dress ''thicken'' your waist by being too busy.

And welcome to PS!

Wow--
They are gorgeous, and you have a gorgeous figure! Welcome to Ps!
I too love #2. It''s not plain at all, I find it quite elegant.
I love the whole waist thing.

Good luck!
How fun.

They are all beautiful, and they all look nice on you (you have a lovely figure) but I think you answered your own question.
YOU love #2, and that's what counts.

Can you tell us who the different designers are?

Scintillating...

I agree with Tybee - I don't think it's plain, I think it's classic and elegant. I like how it defines the waist and bust areas, and the buttons down the back. I really like it too.

They''re all beautiful, but I vote for #2. Out of curiosity, who makes it?

Hello all!!

You''re right I did kinda of answered my own question but it has been proven true that what I like right now may change later. I think I might end up being a 2 dress bride.

1 and 3 are by mathew christopher and the second one I have no idea who it''s by because while I was in the store I did not realize how much I liked it until I got home and looked at my pictures. Thank God for digital cameras.

If you don''t mind, would you tell me the name of the store so that I can inquire about the gown? I''d love to find it so I can try it on myself.

It was at brickhouse bridal in houston texas. I will go back some time next week and try the dress on again I will tell you then if you don''t mind waiting.

I''m calling them right now! Thank you so much. This is actually quite convenient, as I''m getting married in Dallas!

This is so true. Definitely try on LOTS of gowns. I''ve found several that I like; in fact, my favorite list as of now is 4 dresses. It''s incredibly smart to try on gowns until you''re sick of it, so you know the one you chose is special, not just something you liked.

I actually agree with your sister, I like the first one the best. The second one actually fits you as it is, but the trim makes it seem like you have a corset in the middle of the dress and it throws me for a loop. I think the first one is gorgeous.

I agree with your sister as well. I like the 1st on the the best....and dress 2 follows that. Go with what you LOVE though!

#2 is my vote! It''s elegant and perfect. I like the others but I think they would need some really good alterations before they fit you right.

I vote #1!

#2 is nice too though...

Oh my goodness, I love Dress 1 and Dress 2. They are both super pretty. and #2 doesn''t seem plain. I would say simple, but elegant. Both of them are VERY nice, and you look pretty in both!

out of these i like number 2. it''s a personal thing, but i don''t care for the matchy matchy bottom of the dress having a design thing. i really suggest trying on plenty more. being in houston, you have a huge advantage of lots of options! take complete advantage!
i agree that digital pics are a MUST! i loved so many and hated them later when i saw them in pics. it''s like a way of you to see yourself through the eyes of your guest. and it''ll be through pictures you''ll see your dress forever after the wedding!

I like 1 and 2 a lot! I think 2 is my fav though!

Ditto. LOVE the second one on you! Makes you look so delicate.

Thank you guys so much.

jcrow- At first I thought I liked 1 the most but after looking at all the pictures I do have to admit that the second one looks the best on me. Its way less than what I was willing to pay so works out great.

dress #1 - doesn''t fit you and whoever does the hem will be up all night and crying. too much work!
dress #2 - fits you beautifully and looks stunning and classy
dress #3 doesn''t fit you. what''s that thing in the back?

from a seamstress point of view, the waist should be at the waist, the hips should be at the hips, shouldn''t be pulling or tugging at it. there are quite a few short waisted wimmen on here
1.gif
who pick a gown for long waisted models, and it looks all bunchy. The waist should be sleek and smooth.

#1 has a lot of elements thrown together, but they don't really seem to make a cohesive whole.
#2 looks very elegant. Its simplicity shows off your beauty (and confidence!).
I also love the bodice on #3, and you're thin enough that the waistline pleating is not a problem...

I like 1 a lot but it may be too detailed for your petite figure. 2 seems to really suit you and bonus, seems to fit well. My only concern is that when you sit down you might get creases right across the middle which would ruin that smooth look. 3 is fine, but I like the others better.

The second. You look more comfortable in that one, it accentuates your slim waist and curves, and the corset-like bodice is really sexy and really classically elegant all at the same time. Plus, YOU love it!

The first one is too busy in the waist area, and the 3rd just looks like a pretty white dress on you - it doesn''t accentuate your figure.

Are all 3 of these at the same store? Try on all 3 of them on the same day if at all possible. I did this with all my favorites and there was a clear winner of the 4 or 5.

Dress #1 is very pretty, but Dress #2 looks beautiful on you. It accentuates your figure beautifully - perfect hourglass!!!

Plus - you say it yourself that you love the dress, so go with your gut!

All 3 dresses are pretty & flatter your lovely figure, but I just adore dress #2!
30.gif
It's simple & elegant & very classy. It fits you perfectly & the trim & smooth section in the middle are really flattering. I think this dress will let you shine & draw attention to your figure & your face. And even better if it was the least expensive of the 3! It sounds like it was your favorite too.

With your figure, you could probably wear ANY dress and it would look great on you! That being said, I think I like #2 the best! Let us know what you choose...

I gotta say, intially I really liked the 2nd dress.
But, taking another look at the pictures the 3rd dress is really growin on me.
What a great silhouette it gives you.

Scintillating...

I like number two as well, it is not too plain, just understated and seems to fit your figure. Of course you can alter anything that does not fit, but why, when this looks so good on you?

I like the first one the best, but I like number two near as much. I don''t really like the pattern on number three.

I vote for #2 too! It''s not plain at all. It''s very classy. I also love #3, but it''s just a little bit too busy. It would look better with either the beads or the crossing lines of fabric, but not both. #1 doesn''t flatter your figure as much as the other two.
