Hi! Wondering if anyone has white sapphires that they could post photos of -- trying to see what they look like in real life. Particularly interested in asscher cut sapphires, but I suppose beggars can't be choosers. I'm mostly curious about the way they reflect light. Thanks!

I just wanted to add that if you or anyone is in the market for a natural white sapphire, please buy from a highly reputable dealer. They're one of the most synthesized gems, and the market is flooded with man made white sapphire.

I think if they are no longer for sale, you aren't breaking the forum rules.

Also wanted to add that with white sapphires, you have to be extra diligent in keeping them clean everyday or else they will look foggy from the daily accumulation of dirt and oils.

Good point, Chrono. I second that. I have a pair of white sapphire hoop earrings & they always seem to look foggy & dirty.

thanks! these are very helpful -- i saw a photo of a white sapphire asscher and maybe it was badly cut but it just looked like a piece of glass on the person's finger. i'm not sure what was going on but it was not pretty.

have you bought anything from the natural sapphire company before? there's a setting they have that i like but i'm not sure what the quality of their settings are.

There are some horror stories from NSC here on PS, so you probably won't get many recommendations to use them from us.

If there is a setting you like from NSC, odds are that someone else can make it just as well, if not better. I think I remember a specific horrid story about NSC and a setting disaster...Let me see if I can find it...

Wow, that was a very long and involved thread. I'll have to search through Pricescope to see if any other reviews pop up...

Hopefully, since that was in 2009, in five years things will be different? Very surprising to read though.

Would you consider Danburite, Phenakite or White Topaz as alternatives? Perhaps worth checking out. :read:
