I am not a religious person, in fact I call myself non-denominational. However I do believe in a higher power and right now, I need to ask that higher power for some assistance. My beautiful cousin, age 33 is quite possibly down to her last days here on Earth. She has leukemia that has ravaged her body and turned into an awful infection. Her kidneys are shutting down, along with her lungs. She has started to hallucinate and is having a hard time being coherent. She has a 10 year old son who is also suffering from brain tumors and is frequently sick himself. I am going to see her either tomorrow or the next day, after the doctors try dialasis on her.

Please pray for her. It should not be her time yet. She is so young and beautiful and should not be leaving us and her son and husband. I am praying for a miracle.

Thank you sincerely

IrishEyes,

I''m so sorry to hear about your cousin. Please know that many positive thoughts are going out for her and her family.

Irish Eyes--my thoughts are with you and your cousin. I watched my first husband die from melanoma cancer at the age of 33. It is a terrible thing that no young (or old) person should have to go through.

IrishEyes,

I am so sorry to hear this. Your cousin and her family are in my prayers, and I am praying for a miracle.

IrishEyes,

I am so sorry. Life can be painful beyond endurance. (I am not one of those who believes that God does not give anyone more than he can handle. I feel that when you see a woman abuse and kill her own children in a state of panic and terror, that she *has* gotten more than she can handle!)

Like you, I believe in a higher power. I am not sure that it answers prayers. I have prayed for a miracle, and also that if one does not happen that all of you will have the strength to bear it.

Sometimes life is unbearable, though. I am so sorry. My heart is with you, your cousin, her son, and all your other family members and friends.

Deborah

Irisheyes,

My prayers are with you all, especially your cousin and her son. I do believe in God, and while I can''t figure out His reasoning most of the time, I have faith that everything that happens to us is somehow according to His will. I''ll pray for a miracle, and if there isn''t one, I''ll pray for peace and comfort for your cousin and her family instead.

Irish Eyes,

I''m so sorry to hear that, my thoughts are with your cousin and her son, and ofcourse you..

I''m sorry to hear about your cousin. Wishing your family the best of luck.

So sorry to hear. My condolences. I hope she gets better.

Irisheyes,
My thoughts and prayers are with you and your cousin.

I''m sorry to hear this IrishEyes. It''s not fair that her son does not have a healthy mom. I''ll be thinking of her and her family.

IrishEyes,
I am so sorry to hear about your cousin and her son. I wish you and your family the strength to get through this situation, and you will all remain in my thoughts.

Thank you all so much for your thoughts and support, it really means so much to me to have people out there in the world also praying for my cousin.

I am so sorry to hear this Irish. I have had several friends who valiantly fought against leukemia...and it always breaks my heart to see someone so young and full of life robbed of so many years...and have to fight so hard. I hope that your cousin pulls through this, and that her son gets better and lives a long, happy life. {{hugs}}

I''m sorry to hear this...my thought and prayer with your cousin and her son

Your family is in my prayers, I hope that things get better soon.

IrishEyes, my prayers are with your cousin and your son. My husband and I were out running errands this passed Saturday when we got a very upsetting call from my mother that my cousin had passed away in a car accident...he was 26..and to boot it was his mothers (my aunts) birthday, he also left behind twins (not even two years), and a pregnant girlfriend...Needless to say I am in utter shock...we never think of life ending so suddenly, and it has really hit me hard. I feel like there is a dark cloud over my head anywhere I go. I have been reevaluating my life and making sure that I do not waste one second to tell someone simple things like "i love you". I pray that your cousin will have the opportunity to see her son grow very very old.

Very very sorry. Will do.

(And Ladyloves....I am so sorry also to hear about your cousin--I''m remembering your family as well)

IrishEyes,

I am new around here to PS, but prayer is something I feel I have personally used to survive! I will definitely keep your cousin and her son in my personal prayers and I will send positive thoughts her way. I will also keep you in those prayers...

There probably is nothing anyone can say or do for you...just realize that whatever happens, she and you are surrounded with love, caring, positive thoughts and lots of support...

Take care...

LLL,

I, also, offer my condolences and will say a prayer for your family. My daughter is adopted (from Colombia). We stayed in an apartment with other parents in Bogota while we were adopting. One man was there alone because his wife was in the US with their first child. He took his son home and his grandparents decided to come over to see the baby. They died in a car accident on the way to his home. This sad story reminded me of that one. Only in this case it is the baby''s father who died, when he is so needed! Again, I am very sorry.

Deborah

Thank you all for your prayers and wishes, this has been a hard hitting event for my family.

IrishEyes, I just want you to know that you and your family are not alone. So many things happen in this life that we cannot understand, but I do believe there is meaning to it all and somewhere my cousin is looking upon us smiling. As hard as it may be, a good pastor said one time that when we lose a loved one it is the ones who are left behind that has truly lost because our loved one is somewhere where they will feel no more pain, sorrow, or grief. I have been praying and will continue to pray for your cousin, her son, you and your family, and believe in your heart that no matter she is in the best of hands! God Bless you all!

I have been real fortunate thus far in my life. I have only lost my grandmother and an uncle, and while they are tremendous losses that caused me great heartache, I know I am lucky to have so many remaining family and friends still with me. I hope my cousin will remain in that group for many years to come!

Thank you all for your well-wishes, I''ll continue to update everyone on the situation. I''m crossing my fingers that it will improve!

Irisheyes...my thoughts are with your cousin and all of your family during this difficult time. *hugs*
