Hey Everyone...

I am back at my Upgrade project again...

Just a little bit of background for those interested, I currently have a beautiful 2.5 ct (8.67x 7.53) OMB/Antique Cushion that Mark Turnowski sourced for me back in 2010. It was originally set as a simple solitaire with two bullets flanking each side. I then reset it for our 5th wedding anniversary into a halo setting (DSS kicked in), Mark's bench also hand forged this beauty for me. Now heading into our 11 year anniversary and I am getting an itch again, but this time I want something completely different.

What I desire is MASSIVE Finger coverage, and this is about this only safe place I can say that without being judged . I have a size 4 finger, so I realize that I can achieve quite a bit of finger coverage without having to get into the 5 carat range (although I would happily play in that space ).

I am leaning towards a 3.5 carat Pear... carat size doesn't matter so much to me as mm spread, ideally would love something like 13mmx9mm. I am debating between a white stone or a light yellow (not quite "fancy" prices). I also don't know if I want a 3 stone, with 2 Trillions on each side OR a halo again.

With that said, would those of you have Pears kindly share your rings and handshots with ring size for reference please??

TIA!

Holy Smokes Phoenix! Those STONES! Would you mind sharing the mm size of your stones, to provide me perspective? That first ring is pretty much exactly what I may be looking for, although your yellow diamond is And did you have a good experience from those who sourced the stones for you?

Let me post those for you tomorrow. It's night time here:-).

@TruLuv858,

The 3.50ct H Si2 pear measures 12.91x8.82. So it's super spready, looks more like a 4ct. It's also the cleanest Si2 I've ever come across IRL/have had the pleasure of owning. I bought the stone from James Allen (I think just using the pics, they didn't have videos then, IIRC) and then had Leon Mege set it. This was many many years ago.

The 5.11ct U-V stone is 14.41 x 8.91 I bought from Alex of Parksfinegroupinc. He's on Insta. It's cupped by a yellow gold cup and is in 2 halo's, yellow and white diamond melee. It's monstrous, haha. Setting also done by Alex's bench.

Buying from either was a breeze. Alex, in particular, is super efficient and super responsive.

Thank you, so helpful! Absolutely GORGEOUS collection, Phoenix! Appreciate you sharing your beauties!

I don’t have this one, anymore, but wore it for a few years. 3.02 ct pear, K VVS2, with .75ct matching trillions on each side. Finger size 4.5.

@Phoenix just put out feelers to sell that pear ring a couple of months ago! You should reach out to her about it!

3.56 pear, baguette 4 points each, size 6 1/2. Crappy lighting.

It was something like 11.56 x 8.35 or thereabouts. I just deleted the pic I used to have of the cert but I’m fairly sure it was right around there.

My 3.50ct pear. My ring finger is also a size 4.

Gorgeous. I just adore pear cut diamonds in a delicate halo and your is perfection. So much so that it makes me want to reset my pear stud earrings into a halo setting.

I'd love to see your pear earrings. I adore pears!

Pear earrings in a delicate halo sound divine.

Awww. They're absolutely ADORABLE!!:kiss2::kiss2:

Fun pear diamond reset for semi ridiculous 4 carat pinky ring . 25415553-3B52-4DAC-9AB2-6F9A5BCDB886.jpeg1F36A850-6939-45B7-979F-56BE5EC8F0D3.jpeg

OMG what an amazing pinky ring. Love the EW setting and the modern bezel & old cut pear is to die for.

It looks so chic “peared” with your sizeable solitaire.

Just wondering what ring size your pinky is and what the dimensions of the pear are? It looks so so good!

Thank you!!! And sure thing 1D5ECF7E-EBE6-4341-8C9A-002FA656674B.png3CBF65E2-5AB4-42D2-A8E1-92FCC71D7B60.png28E3E1DD-3869-41AF-B404-236B3C7B7DF5.png

Love how those sit on your ears. Do you ever tilt them to follow the diagonal line of your earlobes? (<— brand new sentence)

Hi I have never measured it. Family heirloom—but I can. My pinky is a 6.25 and ring finger 8 for reference. My main diamond is 6.65.

=)2Yes! Our stones have 9 lives!
