Sorry to call out for helplike this, but I saw a thread by April Diamonds about her DIY invitations (https://www.pricescope.com/community/threads/almost-finished-invites-pics.70817/), and I really really loved the stamp that she got. Unfortunately I couldn't respond to her post to ask some questions, and didnt know how to send private messages. Anyways, I went to the Ink Pad store, and they didnt have the ink pad that you had, and I didnt like any of the other ones they had. I was wondering if you had to specially order it from there, or if you designed it yourself? The sales lady said if I can get the stamp # they can order it for me. I would really appreciate it if you could let me know. Thanks so much!!

Sweetie you may want to read the site guidelines. We are asked not to include our email addresses. You can also read there about the lack of PM features.

The admin have their reasons...but one can also add that someone from the outside of PS can obtain your email and use it in a way you may not like. So it protects us all from unsolicited unwanted contacts.

All you have to do here is leave a thread preferably with the posters name in the title, and odds are they will notice it and contact you here in the public forum. That way, we can all learn something!

Welcome to PS!

Hey - I"m not AprilDiamonds, but I used the same stamp on my invitations (picture below). I got it at Paper Source

Probably any high-end art supply place would sell it, I seem to recall that Paper Zone carried it as well, and I think I saw it at a couple of other stores in my area too.

I hope that''s helpful and good luck!

Thanks for the information. I guess its too late to delete the email address now. Anyways, I went to the paper source website and I dont see it there. AmberGretchen, is there a manufacturer name or number on your ur stamp? it might be easier to search once I have the number. The lady at the Ink Pad store said that she can order it for me if I know the number. Thanks

Hi Iceplum!

The one day I don''t check the forum I actually get a shout out! hehe.

Anyway, I bought the stamp quite awhile ago and haven''t been back to the shop since but I would imagine that their inventory does indeed cycle a lot and as you can see it was such a small store that they probably don''t have that much instock. That store was the only place that I had seen it, fell in love with it, and bought it. So I was lucky and didn''t have to special order it.

BUT all is not lost, I do know the brand that makes it and the number so here it is P066 Cherry Blossom. It''s made by Stampendous! and here''s a link to it on their website just FYI http://www.stampendous.com/stampsfdr/pA61-1.html.

Good luck! I hope you can get it! (I think it cost about $12)

April diamond, thank you so much for the information! I called Ink Pad and they said they cant guarantee when they will get it

, so now i dont know what I'm going to do.

I was wondering how you did the pink color for the flower petal? did you use a slow drying pen? and clear embossing powder? I got the embossing gun, clear detail powder and a color pad (how quickly does the ink pad dry out? I bought it from Michaels). what size card did you get? 5x7?

Also, for everyone that did their own invitation, did you have 2 envelopes (not counting the RSVP envelope)? I am thinking of foregoing the inner envelope (where the names are hand written). I was looking at the papersource site and they dont seem to have envelopes that go inside one another. It also seems to be such a waste of paper to have 2 envelopes.

Try googling around online for stampendous stamps. you might be able to find it that way. Or maybe ebay.

To do the pink color on the flowers I colored them with markers. I bought them from a friend who sells stamps for Stampin'' Up (think tupperware party but selling stamps, scrapbook supplies instead). So they''re not particularly fast drying I don''t think but if you go to michales any of those scrapbooking markers should work fine (I also used the "brush tip" type of marker because it was faster to color, you can use the regular tip markers as well)

I bought brown ink from The Ink Pad (pearlscent chocolate I think it was called...it''s the Brillance brand of ink, pigment ink too because you don''t want the ink to dry too fast before you can get the embossing powder on there) The Ink Pad was the only place in a store that I''ve seen that color, I tried other colors but thought they looked too muted.

I didn''t used clear powder because I didn''t like the effect, instead I went to michales and got "Peridot" powder. It was darker, richer, and a little shiney. Using a brown ink pad also helps because if you don''t get enough ink on there for the embossing powder then at least the ink is there to complete the picture (i.e. you''re not missing part of branch cause there wasno embossing powder sticking to it).

The ink pads should last a fairly long time. I''ve had ink pads for years and they still work. The one I used for my invites I got mid last year, and it''s still working fine. Just don''t leave the lid off when you''re not using it! :D

I am also forgoing a second envelope. But my invites are going to be contained in a petal pouch in an envelope so I didn''t feel the need for a second envelope. I think I probably still wouldn''t have done a second envelope even if there was no petal pouch. I am doing postcard RSVPs so also no envelopes there. My actual invite card is 5.5x5.5 I think. I got all my paper products from Paper Presentation in NY.

I went to paper presentation during lunch today, and I feel so overwhelmed with all the choices. I saw the stardream paper which is a little bit shiny. I liked the stardream opal. I'm not sure if I'll use an invitation envelope (petal, pocket, window, etc). I might just get another color paper (slightly bigger) and glue the invitation on there, so the final product will probably be 5x7 and feel relatively heavy. for postcard RSVP, is the minimum size is 3.5x5?

iceplum, i found this listing on ebay
http://cgi.ebay.com/NEW-Stampendous-Cherry-Blossoms-Mounted-Rubber-Stamp_W0QQitemZ270210689416QQihZ017QQcategoryZ41260QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

maybe you want to try and bid for it!

i like the other stamps but you seem to really love this one.

Impress Rubber stamps http://impressrubberstamps.com/ also has a nie cherry blossom stamp. it''s much smaller and not so detailed but it''s still very cute. and it would fit on your thank you cards and rsvps better. it''s an option as well.

Wow, I cant believe its on ebay now! It certainly wasnt there when I looked last week. I''ll definitely bid on this! The listing said the stamp is 2.5" x 4.25"? what did you do with your thank-you notes and RSVP? did you do any stamped images for those? I was also planning on doing postcard for RSVP. Thanks so much for showing me the link.
