ETA: if you ever decide you don't want these beauties, please let me know as I would love to buy them from you...

Thanks, actually someone else on here already put first dibs on them if I ever sell

That was me - I'm SURE that was me  **insert pleading icon here** :saint: :praise:

HANDS OFF! I think it's me that got in first!!!!

Yes, LD, you were first!

I love love love this inclusion. It's in a Paraiba Tourmaline. Don't you think it looks like a steel structure of some kind?

Very cool! What does the stone look like to the naked eye?

Woohoo! So glad I'm still top of the list! *trying to find the blowing kiss smilie and failing*!

Here's the stone with the inclusion (you will have seen it before). It's actually incredibly difficult to see with the naked eye as it disappears unless you hold it at just the right angle. Here are a series of photos: top one is "now you see it", middle one is "now you don't" and the bottom one is a handshot - so normal viewing length - and most of the inclusions disappear and you simply see the colour.

Great color!!!!

Wow, LD, your inclusion looks like the profile of a city with skyscrapers to me.

As for Colorluvr's paraibas, I'm sorry LD, you have too many already and you don't get to have first dibs until some of us have caught up. Therefore, since I was second in line, it comes to me...

Sorry for the threadjack!

Actually, Uppy was second in line..... :wink2:

I think an auction will be in order. I want ring side seats and a bucket of popcorn (I know I have no chance against these determined ladies).

What a ton of fun and eye candy this thread is. Keep them coming!

I realize I'm woefully lacking in this department as I don't have anything way cool to add. Poor cool inclusion-less me... ;(

This thread is fun!

LD, love your pictures. How do you take such close-ups, good zoom lens or a microscope?

I took a few more pics too... First is tourmaline and some orange stuff in quartz...

Here is an aquamarine crystal with a schorl tourmaline coming out it...not your typical inclusion per se' but cool none the less. check out the iridescence

the watermelon color zoning in the 2ct gemstone from atg(all that glitters)

The middle pic makes me think of a puffer fish! Love it. What's the size of it?

I love this thread!!!!

Speaking of puffers, here is one of mine!

First is a Petroleum included double terminated Quartz
Second is an emerald cut Dendritic Quartz
Thrid is a badly cut Tourmaline with very visble inclusions to one end. 4.36 cts
Fourth is the same Tourmaline after recutting shorter to remove most inclusions from the end, and transferring to a radiant cut to improve colour depth and light return. 2.56 cts now

The petroleum in Quartz and dendritic Quartz are exquisite! I enjoyed looking at those two.

Thanks Seaglow, the petroleum bubbles move when you tip it, and it glows like crazy under UV.
The Dendritic reminds me of a Japanese silk screen painting. I was thinking of making an oxidized silver picture frame overlayed with 22ct bamboo leaves and hung on a black silk cord that runs through each side of the frame.
Never enough time to do all the little love jobs though

Another interesting inclusion is this miniture Garnet inclusion in a Diamond.
I had this in for a remake and only noticed it after cleaning. Customer didn't know.
If it had been bigger it would have been worth a lot more than a I1 price.

It is so neat seeing everyone's lovely collections of inclusions that are just too cool... I know when I started collecting some 25+ years ago I wanted to collect the unusual colors of the mineral types and the crazy inclusions. Enhydros, ensolids, gases, mirrors, rainbows, etc. you name it I wanted it.

Here is my favorite in my collection; of course I have 100's but this one has always gotten me as it looks like a timber forest that was blown down by Mt. St. Helen's etc... I got this one from Michael at Litnon when he was getting in all those Russian Demantoids...

Keep them coming as I really like seeing what everybody has stumbled upon..

Most Respectfully;
