Potential job for bf/potential timeline for me... cross your fingers for me!

BF interviewed for a job in DC this past weekend that he says he''s 85% sure he''s going to get. We''re very excited about it, obviously, but trying not to get our hopes up since nothing is final yet. We were discussing the move to DC (he will be moving in May and I will be joining him in Sept) and we decided that since it''s so easy and convenient to get around in the city by metro/bus that we should trade our cars in to get one that we can both drive. Annndddd he said "I wouldn''t want to trade our cars in until we''re engaged, since co-signing a loan is a pretty big commitment." I told him that we would need to do it before I moved in unless we wanted to pay a bajillion dollars a month to park two cars. He said that he obviously knew that.

Which means.... we would have to be engaged by Sept!

The timeline before was as soon as he has enough money saved after he starts working, which we figured would be Sept/Oct/Nov-ish. So this is definitely exciting for me!

He should hear this week, so keep your fingers crossed for us!

No word yet. We''re thinking no news is good news. They said they were going to let him know either way... and it seems like if they were going to say no, it wouldn''t take over a week to get that in the mail.

I feel so bad for him. He desperately wants this job and he''s getting so antsy about hearing something. Thanks to those with fingers crossed! Keep sending good thoughts our way.
