Potential timeline update?

While we were out with friends last night, SO''s (inebriated) friend let it slip that SO mentioned proposing in "3-4 months"! That is much sooner than our agreed-upon timeline of approximately a year.

I''m trying not to get my hopes up too much considering the source of this, mind you. Although this is a very close friend and it''s likely that SO would confide in him, the friend may have misinterpreted something along the way. Money''s an issue and that won''t change until a few major things are completed/resolved. There is one particular thing that will help our financial situation quite a bit and that''s what I''ve pretty much considered to be the ''yardstick'' for when it might happen.


But, this means that SO''s actually talking about engagement with his friends which is good news regardless. Yay!

Sounds like promising news to me. Whenever my SOs friends spill something while we''ve been drinking it''s been pretty much true. Most people lose the ability to filter what they say after several drinks and for many it''s like a truth serum.
