Prayers Please--BF''s dad

My BF just called me, and told me that his mom had just called to say that his dad in having a heart attack or annurism...not sure yet and they are on the way to the hospital. The one good thing is that his mom is a nurse, so at least she knows what to do in that kind of situation. BF is going to call me back when he knows more. He was supposed to fly to Dallas tonight to visit a friend, my guess is thats not happening now.

My heart goes out to his family right now. Its my busy deadline day at work so I can''t leave.

Add my prayers too. Myhopes and thoughts are with you. This happened to my Father in Law about 5 years ago and he made a full recovery. I sincerely hope you BF father makes a full recovery.

BF just talked to his mom so here's the update....

It was really bad, and his blood pressure was like 50/30 (I'm assuming thats really bad), and at first thought it was an aortic annurism, but it turns out to be just a really bad heart attack, but he was out for awhile. All the ICUs at the hospital are full, so they are trying to find another location and he still needs to see the cardiologist.

Also one of his sisters lives in DC and the other one is in North Texas in college and is in the middle of finals...he's not sure if his mom has called them yet.

I''m so sorry that you are going through this. I''m sending you positive thought. I hope things will work out (50/30 is low), but he''s at the hospital, and in good hands. Is he conscious yet? Keep us updated.
 
ally: I don''t know if he''s conscious or not, from the sound of it he might be. But the BF also mentioned that LifeFlight was almost a possibility. Very scary.

BF just called again...he didn''t give any updates, but said that he was going to the hospital and his sister might be flying in from DC tomorrow.
 
Here''s another {{{{{hug}}}}}. 50/30 is really low. Did they have to use a defibrilator at all? It sounds like he''s getting the best care right now, even if he''s not in an ICU room.

{{{Big hugs}}} appletini...You guys are in my thoughts and prayers. I know (unfortunately) what you are going through, as my dad has had a couple of heart attacks in the past (he is doing ok now, thank god). It''s so scary, and it makes you feel so helpless...

I am hoping to hear positive news. There are truly miracle cures available for heart patients now! My father has had open heart surgery and my husband had angioplasty (following cardiac catheterization following a heart attack). Both are fit and able to exercise and work again now!

I do pray your boyfriend''s father will get the best care and be back to himself soon.
