Pre-Engaged Ladies! Have you . . .

For those of us who know BF has the ring but hasn''t proposed yet. A few questions, just for fun:

1) Have you seen the finished product (ring) yet?
2) If yes, have you worn it around your house?
3) Do you know/think you know when BF will propose?

My answers:
1) Yes, I even did all of the paperwork for the insurance
2) Kind of. Long story, which I won''t post ''till after the proposal. It wasn''t on the sly though
3) It had better be soon!

Sorry it took so long to respond- I just saw the post and can relate

My answers:


1) Yes, I've seen the finished product, I insisted. No surprises here- plus, I wanted to make sure that I LOVED it before he proposed so I didn't have to part with it post-proposal..... (Finished a month ago- still no ring

)




2) Wore it around the house for about 10 minutes to see how it fit- it ended up needing to be resized a little smaller because it's top heavy...... Being sized now..




3) I know it will be soon- this summer- but other than that, I'm still in the dark. Hopefully soon- big family reunion next week- it would be nice to show it off/announce engagement then....

I picked out both the stone and the setting but he's sending the finished product to his mom's to keep me guessing. So the answer to q.1 and q.2 is a no. As for you 3rd question, i know it's going to be this summer. I estimate it should take him at least another couple of weeks to get the ring. Beyond that, no idea.

My SO just called up this weekend and said "ok, I've seen a georgeous sapphire, you're not getting a diamond ring. I think I found the setting we liked, and if not, it looks nice, so too bad

so all of those sounds great, up until the part where he says "and be patient, because this is going to take a few months to make, since I need to call sapphires in and find a good one, then Tacori has to make the ring in your size."

a few months! we've been looking since April! I'm not even sure that Tacori doesn't take an August vaccation, which would push it back even father. patience certainly is a difficult virtue, especially when my SO is 3000 miles away!

however, I know my friends are going to laugh at me for being impatient in a few years. in the greater scheme of things, what's 6 months here or there?
