Alright so I''ve dreamed and thought all I can about my e-ring, and now that the engagement will not be until later in the summer I''ve decided to move on the thinking about the wedding! Besides the wedding will be this November, so it''s definitely not to early to start planning

Anyways, I''ve just made a collage from all the pics I''ve collected of what I''d like my wedding to look/feel like and I wanted to share it with you all!

Does anyone else need a break from oogling over diamond rings?? haha, probably not

But feel free to post your own pre-engagement wedding plans!

Oooh, I love the floating candle with the... water lilly ... well whatever it is, it''s super cool and pretty. I also love the orange paper lanterns, so romantic! Um, what''s with the pic of the pebbles, though?

Oh cool! I saw that vase with the candle today and loved it! I have been looking at boquets and wedding dresses lately because I have looked at every sparkly site known to me. This is one of my favorite boquets and has me planning color schemes ehehehehehe!

ETA: I would have magenta peonies instead of the mums, and take out the blue and green things. Maybe add some bleeding hearts and definitely some orangy/pink ranunculus in there.

Ok and here are my two favorite dresses.

And my other. I just love the cut of the top and bottom of both> One is obviousy more frilly than the other. But hey I have like 2 years probably

Ilovesparkles that is a beautiful bouquet! So dramatic and bold. I like the bright blue, is that the one you'd do away with? I love it paired with the orange/red tones.

I also really like the first dress you posted!

Thanks, Indie. Ya, I just saw that floating candle on the other thread today. My BF really likes ponds, water, etc. so I thought it would be something that represented his interests. And the pic of the stones is a continuation of the floating candle... see it has stones in the bottom of it. I''m really into design and making collages of the feeling of the areas I''m planning

So even if it doesn''t make sense to have stones sitting around at a reception, it''s in there somehow! It''s just me.

I''ve seen lots of tablescapes done with river rocks sort of strewn on the table. It looks cool, and if you have guests who like to fidget (like me!) it gives them something to play with. Of course, if there are a lot of kids attending it might not be the best idea. "ROCK FIGHT!"

So you''re saying the wedding is THIS Novemeber? WOW! With that quick turnaround, definitely start planning now!

This November! You are definitely allowed to plan all you want, girl!

Sparkles, I love that first dress... very romantic and ladylike without being "princess-y".

We already have our date (next May!), church and hotel booked, despite the fact we''re not engaged yet... so I guess the planning has officially begun! I am thinking black, strapless, tea-length for bridesmaids dresses. And for me, maybe something like this:

Ooh, I love that second dress you posted, Sunkist. So so pretty!

Sparkles! I love that first dress! Where is it from?

Blast, it was Sparkles and not Sunkist who posted that. Sorry. Ooh! I want to look for a dress I love. Fun, fun.

Um, why do all the dresses come sleeveless? I want sleeves. Short ones. Any suggestions where I can browse pictures of some?

Oh! I do like that dress you posted too, Fishie.

But actually I think that second dress posted that you were referring to was ILoveSparkles post. I guess the flower color in our avatars are very similar! It is a pretty dress though.

eta: oh, hehe, you caught it
2.gif

isn''t this a great way to keep your mind off the ring??
31.gif
ok, maybe not

I also love this dress! And I think the sleeves look pretty on the model, but in my dreams if I got this dress (not going to happen, it''s expensive$$) I''d trim the sleeves to elbow/right-above-the-elbow length.

Oh good fish I am glad you found this. I meant to mention this is a good way to start planning and keep your mind away from the ring and proposal
28.gif
Maggie SOttero. I know I spelt that wrong but that is the first dress and it looks like your found the second. I am with you though. I want shortish sleeves or thick straps so I can wear a real bra! I hate strapless and franikly it shows too much for me. I prefer a little more modest gown. Don''t get me wrong they look fab on people, I just feel very VERY uncomfortable in them. Plus a big bust + sleeveless = bad combo! I took sdome of my moms flower magazines and Im gonna collage my faves
20.gif

I already know the flowers I want: tulips, only it''ll be fall, so I don''t know how that will work, and daisies. They''re really basically a weed, so those should be available all year long. :)

I just love this for my girls. Small, delicate. Precious! And then maybe a slightly bigger version for me. Maybe. I don't know. I don't like big lumps of flowers. And I like the thin ribbon dangling down. So pretty!

For me, something like this maybe, but a tad less of a bundle. And with the thin ribbon dangling down like in the other one, but with NOT red flowers. I like, I like.

And, I could totally bundle them together and tie them up myself. I love that kind of thing!

Oooh Sparkles, I LOVE your second dress!! Who''s it by?

Here are my ideas (and if my bf knew how far advanced they were he''d run screaming!

Possible dress:

What I picture him wearing:

I can''t find a picture of the bouquet I want, but it''d be dark green with ivory roses and those orchids that they use in the lei''s.
The cake I picture is lemon cake with lemon or passion fruit custard and buttercream frosting.

Dinner will be under the stars overlooking the ocean with torches in the sand. We''re planning on it being just our parents, siblings and siblings in law so we won''t have to worry about bridesmaids, favors, or any of that stuff!
9.gif

Heehee, Indiejones, you''ve been doing LOTS of thinking, haven''t you?

I plan on having my neices be flower girls. They can''t wait. My mom is a kickin seamstress, so she''ll make their dresses. And they''ll drop dried flower petals from the flowers Paul''s gotten me throughout our relationship. *Yeah, I''ve been saving them up in a big glass vase in my office at work. All the colors intermixed is quite pretty. Looks like potpourri.* That''s not spelled right.

Indie where is that resort? It looks wonderful! I also really like the idea of only immediate family at the wedding. Very intimate.

Fishie, tulips are one of my favorite flowers too! I wish/hope they''re available in November, but I''m thinking they won''t be. I dunno, there are always hot houses growing all kinds of flowers!

I think you can always find tulips, it''s just that there''s more choice and better prices when they''re in season! Tulips are one of my favorite flowers too!
5.gif

Heh heh, well he did ''unofficially'' ask me last fricking May. So I''ve had plenty of time to think about it.
12.gif

The resort is the Fairmont Orchid in Hawaii. It seems perfect! If a bit pricey, partic since I''m hoping my father will spring for 2-3 nights for everyone, but hey it''ll still be cheaper than a wedding with all the trimmings at home!
31.gif
*sigh* if only my sister was doing something more expensive for her wedding this would look reasonable. *pout*

We''re having a long engagement, but I already have planty of ideas!!
28.gif
Hunting for all this has helped me stay sane in some particularly difficult periods of waiting... I guess I should start doing that again, eh?
