And I did not mean that in a smart a** way.

Sure. You were just being naturally curious. Kinda like the official who leaked the case although they were not supposed to discuss ANY pending immigration cases said he had no particular "motive" to do so.

Well, for crying out loud. The AP reported it, and in fact, the British Press as well, has been doing a LOT more investigative press than our supposed press over here in the states. Our "press" has their head so far up Obama''s A** that they can''t even see straight!!! This is a fact. She is here Illegally. The question was HOW IS HE GOING TO DEAL WITH HER AND MILLIONS OF ILLEGAL PEOPLE???????????? And did she VOTE??????? If he pardons her, then does he have to pardon millions of other illegals, so that he does not show "favoritism" toward just his family???? I frankly think this puts him in a bad spot.

And I really was not saying this to be a smart a**, but evidentally I am perceived that way, simply because I am on here not supporting Obama.

I heard this on the radio this morning and it was just a normal fm station.

Well, Star, here's the thing . . . you seem to relish every opportunity to criticize Obama, regardless of whether your criticism is fair or not. For example, you posted here that you think Obama should give financial assistance to THE SAME AUNT. Make up your mind. Should he give her money so that she can have a better life here in the U.S. or should he deport her back to Kenya for being here illegally?
33.gif

Also, perhaps you should read the article you posted above. It says in part:

"Senator Obama has no knowledge of her status but obviously believes that any and all appropriate laws be followed," the Obama campaign said in a written statement given to FOX News.

The campaign said it was returning $260 that Onyango had contributed in small increments to Obama's presidential bid over several months. Federal election law prohibits foreigners from making political donations.

That should answer any questions you may have about how Obama would handle this situation as President. And BTW, it's great to see that he's already won the election in your opinion!

Agreed.

Right on Irishgrrrl!

Its so funny to me that some people seem to think that a candidate can control or is in some way responsible for the actions of EXTENDED family members (some not seen for 10+ years) BUT ... criticizing Sarah Palin's IMMEDIATE family .. i.e. knocked up 17 yr old daughter, high school drop out fiance, son with drug issues - shipped off to war by a judge ...separatist party affiliated husband ... going on a campaign trail with a special-needs infant ... blah blah blah ... THOSE things are "off limits"

Ditto! I do really love such obvious double standards and hypocrisy, though! Always good for a chuckle!

Well, at least Palin''s family is here LEGALLY. Rebuttals please.

At the time of my former statement about her being here in a public housing project, we did not KNOW that she was illegal. So that blows your argument out of the water.

Actually, you''re missing the point, starsapphire. The point is that you''ll criticize Obama for anything.

So no, you didn''t blow anyone''s argument "out of the water."

Well, at least Palin's family is here LEGALLY. Rebuttals please.
Here's my rebuttal. WHY would you think it reflects badly on Obama or the Democratic Party if one distant relative of the candidate is here in the country illegally? Do you think he should be able to control his entire extended family? What would you have him do beyond what he *IS* doing ... returning the donated $$ now that its been determined its illegal ... and agreeing that any legal proceedures re: her being deported should continue as they would for anyone else under the circumstances.

NOONE has implied or offers any proof of him trying to intervene on her behalf ... or asking anyone to do anything unsavory.

So -- you're the one bringing it up -- what would you have him do? And why would this reflect badly on him? Please ... the election hangs in the balance..
5.gif

ETA: You still haven't made up your mind either. Families of candidates are either OFF LIMITS or FAIR GAME. Which is it? Or, I guess your point is they're only FAIR GAME if there's an illegal immigrant in the mix? Hard to follow your logic. Or, more aptly, impossible.
34.gif

what in the world does this have to do with the election? our country is a sinking ship and this is what you are worried about? wow, that''s a pretty charmed life.

OK, everyone not 100% Native American OUT!
