Hello everyone,
what do you think would be the worth of this diamond ring from Diamanta Paris? It's a 1ct SI H Diamond on a 750 gold ring. The name is Bague Or Jaune 750/1000 "Solitaire Impérial 1" Diamant 1ct/1 and number bb/229903dxj
The original price is 27000€, which is definitely too high. It is new and has a certificate.

No idea - I have never shopped or bought diamonds overseas.
This, however, is an H, SI1 that is a super ideal cut (the best as far as MRB go). This is diamond only and doesn’t include the setting but may give you something to compare to. No idea about the cut quality of the ring that you linked so not sure if it is an apples to apples comparison.

My guess is that the ring you posted doesn't have a well cut diamond

MissGotRocks gave you a link to a (USA) diamond supplier; the diamond shown in the link would be an outstanding stone, the price is in US$. That supplier could also provide a similar gold mounting for an additional cost. So total price would be 'less than' $10,000 US.

Ok, how much do you guess the diamond ring worths?

Great advice given so far....
For me, when a seller thinks I'm gullible enough to believe some made up, exponentially high price, I find it insulting.
Not the best way to start a business relationship if you ask me.....

I recieved an offer to buy this diamond ring for 4.800€. I haven't seen this diamond so far, but the official price is astronomically high, which wondered me weather this might be a good deal. I don't know the brand Diamanta, so I'm not sure weather it's something special. Otherwise it's just an 1ct SI. Who would buy it for more than or even 5k?

It's inherently not a good deal because you literally have no idea what you're getting. My guess is that the diamond is poorly cut, in which case it's a bad deal, even for a "cheap" price. I wouldn't consider paying anywhere close to 5k for it.

Hi,
Here's a diamond we normally sell for $180,000
But since you're wearing a red t-shirt, the price is $5k
Will that be cash or cash?

Sounds like a run don't walk situation to me......

i don't think it's even a certifed stone (HRD / GIA) - could even be less than 1ct if you read the fine print...

Due to the uniqueness of each piece of jewelry, the weight and carat weight of the materials are given as an indication. They may vary slightly from one stone to another and from one measurement to another.

lollllllllllllllllllllll it's probably not certified. Even more hilarious that they're asking so much.

On a more introspective note....If I want to buy something I will...I find the ridiculous "list price" offensive, but if I want the item and the price is right, I'll buy it.
My question is, are there people for whom this sort of advertising actually works?

Everyone likes to think they are getting a ‘deal’. Most things are not actually a deal - you are lucky to score a true price IMO. That sort of thing never works for me.

In addition to what has been mentioned so far, red flags are definitely there, and the one that bothers me the most is the massive "savings"!

To me, it implies the original listed price was heavily inflated.

Compounded by no certification, with undisclosed % variability in weight in the gold as well as the carat weight of the stone, this ring is a no-go for me personally.

As for the brand, never heard of it, probably another branded-generic.

I suspect it will appeal to those who cannot be bothered to do their own research and due diligence, and buy it based on the huge "savings".

Someone who would want to brag about how much it was listed and how he/she got it as a bargain, etc. etc...

That's just me being cynical, however, there are plenty who would buy from B&M/mall jewellery stores due to the huge "savings".
