I''m going to mooch off Alleycat''s method andcall on the good vibes of all ya''ll because we need it RIGHT NOW!! We''ve been tentatively searching around for a new home, not seriously since we weren''t 100% ready to move until early next year, and of course fell head over heels in love with a place.

So now we need good luck vibes to make sure all our paper work works out AND that our bid is accepted AND that we can sell our current homein a reasonable amount of time!!! I know its asking alot but please please please!!!!

I mooched off of Ally''s method & we are closing on our new house next Tuesday & closing on our current house in 3 weeks!!! I wish Ally''s house would have worked out...

But something will come along that is perfect for them too.

What am I doing here?! i have a final tomorrow morning!!!

That must mean our bid was accepted, the paperwork/financing came through (i think i''m signing the final stuff tomorrow!) and weworked it out sothere is no crazy panic to sell my current place until the market is primed!!!!

barring any disisater (fingers, toes,andd all toher things crossable still majorly corssed!!!!!) we shuldclose on sept 16!!

We actually bought a townhome. We needed to since we have to stay in close to the med center since driving would be a problem for me with the hours i''ll be working as a resident (i''ve already wrecked my car once falling asleep at the wheel driving home after call...i''m fine but my car was totaled!!) so we have to pay up the wazoo for a much smaller townhome because property values are so much higher inside the loop. Buying a house house would have been out of the question for the prices they''re going for! ($850,000 for a 2300 sq ft house on and 11,000 sq ft lot built in 1937 and admittedly a fixer upper per the ad

)

We would have preferred ahouse, we both love older homes since thay have so much character and bigger yards, not like these new complexes popping up where you might accidently walk into your neighbors house thinking its yours

. Totally jealous of all ya''ll out there finding these great homes, but we love our little townhome! Its kinda young and contemporary and will work really well for us for the next few years until we can afford to move out further away from downtown and buy our dream home! It''s the typical townhome lay out with three floors, three BR, 3 1/12 bath. It got a great open floor plan and 9 foot ceilings so it gives a really nice feeling of spaciousness thats so essential in a townhome. I love the kitchen, very big and open with tons of counter space and but oh, the master closet...complete ecstacy!!! And for those of ya''ll out there who like hardware, wait till you see the sink that comes in the powder room! Our new home walk through is 9/9 and i''ll take pictures then. We''re sooo excited!

I would totally worry about crashing up the car driving home after call too. Luckily, I can walk to the hospital in 5 minutes where we live now. But we could never afford to buy anything here, unfortunately. 300 grand for a one bedroom condo
