I am trying to buy an engagement ring, and am debating about quite a few things. In particular, whether to buy online vs. store. I went to Jared''s and they tried to sell me on this Leo diamond:
$2300 Leo - .66tw, VS1, I color, good polish, good symetry, GIA report... unfortunately i dont have the measurements.
I felt this was quite overpriced, but maybe i''m wrong. After doing some research on this and other sites, I''ve tried to find a good diamond online for a similar or less price. Here is what i came up with from BlueNile (which most people seem to trust):

Do either of these sound good? I read some threads that said for princess diamonds the depth should be slightly larger than the table, which is somewhat hard to find. Also, i read the gemappraisal.com and looked for the "ideal" measurements, and the 69, 68 is pretty close. I also am concerned about princess cuts chipping, but i saw that medium cuts are good. Also a lot of prongs for rings are on the corners for best protection. Does this all seem reasonable? I''m pretty new to this, but I fear no ONE answer is right and what i really need are some opinions and guidance...
