So I have got it BAD for emeralds right now. Really bad. I have been thinking of putting off other projects in order to afford what I want.

And then I ran across this. normally I don't go for rings like this but the color of those emeralds! It's like exactly what I want. Granted, I would make sure it was returnable if they don't look that way in person.

Thoughts? Would you get it? I can absolutely take honesty.

It's definitely pretty but looks so delicate. I'd be constantly checking in terror to see if all the stones are ok :errrr:

I'm not very encouraged by the return policy:
"If for any reason you are not fully satisfied, we provide a 100% money back guarantee (minus shipping & handling costs) within ten days of end of auction."

Should it be 10 days from the day you receive it?

I checked the negative/neutral reviews on Toolhaus, and there are only 5.

Soooo pretty, but I would be sooooo worried about one of those little stone's falling out!

You and endless_summer bring up good points. It will definitely be something I look hard at if I order to look at it in person.

Hmmm, preg I think you and I found the ring in different places. The site I am looking at says you have 30 days from receipt of item to return. Where did you find it?

I can see why that grabs you! Beautiful design. The emeralds, though, look too good to be true -- they may not be such a great color IRL. Any info given on treatment, if it matters to you?

Is the back solid metal?

No info given that I can see - let me write them and ask.

Treatment is important to me, although I'm in a state of confusion over how much. Recently I started a whole thread about this and Embassy Emeralds was kind enough to comment on what is extremely common in the Colombia market, at least. Now I'm not sure where I stand. I definitely want oil only if it's a center stone, but if they used araldite on this and nothing like opticon, I might give it a pass.

What's giving me pause is the price. I'm thinking it's prob overpriced at $3600. Let's say it arrives and the emeralds do look that good. Generally, is $3600 reasonable for this, do we think?

I realize it's up to me in the end, but am curious for opinions.

Well, a ring's appearance on eBay doesn't necessarily mean it is mass-produced. The diamonds in this particular ring are F-VS2, so are better than the commercial grade, H-I - SI2- I2 diamonds typically found in mass-produced jewelry & a Google Images search doesn't show the ring being sold on any web site other than Firenze Jewels (and their eBay listing).

Yes, please do! I think if the ring grabs you, price is right, and when you have it in hand, you love it - go for it. I just thought it was worth saying because I have a band that an emerald fell out of - that said, I still love it and wear it, just turned under where the missing stone isn't seen - compromise :-)

That is some good sleuthing, Molly!

I also wrote them to ask if it's a stock photo or a photo of the actual ring. Also asked about treatment. I will report back when I hear from them.

I agree Molly. When I wrote this, I thought that Jereni and I had found it thru two different vendors, that were not related.
