While browsing dresses on ebay last night, I ran across a Pronovias "Laura" for sale. Oh, it''s gorgeous! Since the price was so low, I went ahead and put a bid on it.
Well, now the auction is ending in around 4 hours, and the bidding is up to $238.50. I run between a 4 and a 6, so it would have to be taken in a bit, but it''s definitely the sort of dress I''d like. The lace! The mermaid silhouette! The delicate straps (I have very bony shoulders)!
But...I haven''t been to try on dresses yet. I THINK it would look good on me, and so do a few of my trusted friends, but I obviously don''t have the time to go try it on before the auction ends.
Should I just forget it? On the other hand, what a good deal, right? I love the look of the Pronovias dresses, but I can''t justify spending ~$1000 on a dress, especially when FH and I are looking at house-buying.
Guess I''m just looking for a burst of sanity - should I be discouraged or enabled on this one?
