Proposal Nightmares?

My bf helped me DD for my sorority last night and as we were driving around we talked about the ring and he gave very veiled hints about the proposal. so veiled I still have no clue about anything. We finally got to bed at 3:30 and I had a really real dream that he was proposing. We were at my parents house and we wanted to live in their house or something but then had the room we wanted to stay in totally filled with stuff. So my bf says to me "Well, I want to show your parents we are serious so they will move the stuff, so will you marry me?" and got down on the knee and all that. Then the ring he gave me was like a yellow gold band that went under this ring that had like a silver chain instead of a band. It is hard to explain but hey, it was a dream! The diamond was a .1ct frozen piece of spit round. I asked him what happened to the ring we picked out together and he told me the 1ct asscher we picked out was just to throw me off so I would be surprised

. LOL it just went down hill from there. Has anyone else had dreams about their worst case proposals or am I the only crazy one?? He just needs to do it girl soon so I can quit obsessing about it!!!

I had a dream a couple of months ago in which my BF gave me the most hideous ring ever and said "here''s a ring", then proceeded to tell everyone that we were getting married. I was just like, wait, I didn''t even say yes! Then I accidently dropped the ring off a cliff. I have no idea why there was a random cliff there. I was upset that I had lost my (hideous) e-ring within a couple of hours of getting it, so I was trying to figure out a way to get to the bottom of the cliff to retrieve it. Then I woke up.

So yeah, there are other crazies here too.

Blech! Well, think of it this way... whatever he does WILL be better than that!!!

I haven''t really had a nightmare about it yet, though I have had a couple of dreams about it. I kind of wish I would have a nightmare so that I could have something to balance out the dreams... I know he''ll never make it as good as it was in the dreams... and I don''t want to be dissapointed! Silly, eh?

I think I''ve made it clear enough that I don''t want it in a restaurant, so at least that nightmare (for me) is out of the way, but I hope he''s able to come up with something creative... he''s NOT a creative guy. I hope I''m not setting him up for failure!

I dreamed once that J proposed and gave my a princess (which is notthe shap I want) and it was a HORRIBLE princess!! It had a total of five flat facets, like a upturned pyramid, and it was horridly dull, yellowish and included.

Whatever he gives me, at least I know it''s going to be better than that!!

Last month I had a proposal dream too. In it my boyfriend got down on one knee and took out a ring box. I was uber-excited, thinking, "This is it!".....then he opened the box. From far away it looked like a round solitaire, but it was actually a cluster of tiny diamonds forming a round shape. And upon closer inspection, I saw that it only had a few diamonds - the rest of the settings were empty!

He then said to me, "I love you and I want to marry you. But I can''t afford anything better right now. If you say yes, I will fill in the rest of the settings as time goes by."

It was kinda sweet, actually.

But in my dream, I said, "Are you serious? Get this sh*t away from me. Come back when you have a real ring."

I was so upset in my dream that I was pretty agitated when I woke up.

I told my boyfriend what had happened in the dream and he started laughing. I asked him if he would actually do that and he said no.

Although I''m always telling others and myself that I don''t need a nice ring, just someone I truly love, I guess deep down inside, I really do want some bling bling.

) and told my BF to just not give it to me on April 1st! Now THAT would be a real nightmare!

This isn''t a proposal nightmare, but the family I have nannied for for 7 years, got married on April 1st. I don''t get it but hey whatever floats your boat I guess.

These are really funny to read! I had a dream last night about this. Not a nightmare, but an unusual dream...

Last night I dreamed about my BF proposing to me on a sailboat as we took a sunset champagne cruise. We were enjoying the beautiful sunset when he suddenly got down in front of me on one knee and asked me to marry him, presenting a little box. I said yes, but then when he gave me the box to open, it was empty and had a little slip of paper inside with an I.O.U. on it.

I was confused so he explained that he was worried that he wouldn''t be able to hold on to the box or put the ring on my finger with the combination of him being nervous and us being on a boat at sea, so he left the ring at the hotel on the beach for safekeeping! I woke up shortly and was laughing about this, and I told my BF about it much to his amusement.

LOL I am glad I''m not alone!! These are really funny... I especially like the cliff. My bf asked me how long I am going to have these and I said until he proposes!! I don''t think it is going to sway him to do it any earlier though

I had a nightmare this weekend that he proposed with a ring that had some sort of screw top on it. I unscrewed it and found a large, oval, yellowish stone (definitely not a diamond). Yuck!

At this point, however, if he presented me with even that ring, I would say yes.

I recently had a proposal nightmare,

My boyfriend lives long distance currently. In my dream we were walking through the airport I had just arrived in and right as we walked past this piercing pagoda type jewelry kiosk, he reaches in his left pocket. I start to panic, realizing this is the great moment and he is asking me in the hallway of an airport, I back up against the wall and he pulls out the ring and gets down on one knee..

He asks me and I scream NO! The ring is absolutely hideous, it has this very chunky band and a round solitaire that is off center with 2 smaller princess cuts sitting to the right lined up vertically. Not just that but there is not one single sparkle from a single direction, it looks like a plastic rock. I start crying and ask what happened to the ring we had picked out together, he told me he liked this one better but that it was ok because he wasn''t sure I would like it which is why he proposed to me right in front of the store he bought the ring in (the little airport Kiosk)

I was soo mad, I accused him of last minute picking out a piece of junk and deciding to propose and not having anything special planned out. Which in my dream he was like, well yea, sure. I thought you wanted us to get married as soon as possible so I bought one here.

So we go up to the kiosk counter and everything is just as ugly or uglier, horrible styles, no sparkle, etc. All I wanted was a channel set princess band and they didn''t even have that. The whole time I was telling my boyfriend to just return what he had bought and we could get something else it was like I didn''t even exist. The sales associate kept showing him pieces that she thought I would like and he was agreeing with her. Meanwhile I was standing besides the two of them screaming about how ugly everything was and they couldn''t even hear me.

Finally I started walking off out of the airport crying and my boyfriend caught up with me cash in hand (guess he did return the ring) and he was very confused. Asked me why I was so upset and started saying how beautiful those rings were and how he couldn''t believe I said no. I was so upset, thinking he bought some total piece of crap with no thought on the way into the airport.

Long and vivid dream, told my boyfriend and he laughed soooo hard.

Before we picked out our ring, I had a nightmare that he proposed (don''t even remember the actual proposal- what the heck?), and then when I looked at the ring, it was yellow gold, (not what I like) and was like, dingy! It had teeeny tiny stones on it, including the center stone (it seriously looked like a glue ball I used to make when I was little), and the gold was like, hammered. I squeezed it on my finger (it was also too small), and kept it on, telling him I loved it. My finger started turning red, and then I had to tell him the truth. I started crying, and I told him I loved the fact that he got me a ring, and I wanted to wear it to make him happy. He got mad. When I woke up, I actually was freakin'' crying! He was laughing at me when I told him! Last night I had another dream, and this time it was OUR ring, but it was too tight, too! What is up with that????
