ahh i''m sorry this is late! i took pictures of the ring when i realized i didn''t have the wire
but here i am armed with a story and photos to share!!!
ok on with the story... this could be long so feel free to skip to the pictures
so i''ve been bugging B ever since i knew the ring was ready when he was going to pick it up. he gave me no hints and i had a feeling it would be last wednesday since i was in class all day. turns out he had picked it up the saturday before. he works with computers and information technology, so part of his job is to ensure that the servers his company uses are running. saturday morning he makes up this story (i didn''t know at the time he was making it up) that one of the servers broke and it was a huge problem, it''d take hours to fix. i was going to my parents that weekend so i told him to go fix it then head down to my parents. i was wondering if he was playing tricks with me so i was keeping track of the time between him leaving to fix the servers and coming to my parents. the time was too short for him to go to the jewelers and come back, so i figured he really did have to fix the servers.
so the weekend goes by and when monday rolls around i''m wondering when he''s going to get the ring. so all this time the ring is SITTING IN MY APARTMENT AND I HAD NO IDEA!
so im'' getting antsy because he told me he was going to ask this week but i knew it had to be after wednesday. tuesday night i am being a pain (in retrospect) and asking him all these questions. he doesn''t budge one hint so i''m like fine, i go to bed. wednesday morning (like 6:30AM) he gets out of bed. im not a morning person so i thought nothing was out of the ordinary he probably was going to use the bathroom. he takes Bailey (our puppy) out of her crate to let her sleep in bed with us. And she loves to harass me in bed. I''m not a morning person so I''m super annoyed that B would let Bailey onto the bed at such an ungodly hour. so i''m shoving Bailey away telling her not to bug me. Bailey get the idea and goes to sleep by my side. Ben is standing over me telling me Bailey has something to show me. So I pet her and feel nothing so i angrily tell him, "there''s nothing there, she''s fine" and go back to sleep. Then he says again, "no, she has something to show you." i STILL haven''t put together that this is the moment, until i feel a ribbon around her collar. I take it off, sit up in bed (i''m still lying down this entire time!) and see that it''s a wrapped box. small enough to be a ring box! so i realize he''s going to propose and all i can say is, "oh my god oh my god are you serious." over and over again. i take off the wrapping paper and see the infamous tacori blue box! now i''m just too scared to open the box thinking he''s tricking me. so i keep asking him are you serious, and i''m crying, and he''s crying. and he says yes, and i open the box and my ring is in there! he says to me teary eyed with tears running down his face, "sweetie i love you so much, would you marry me?" and i manage a "yes of course" and i''m crying and crying which makes him cry more. he puts the ring on my finger, we lie in bed for a while, my alarm goes off and i have to get ready for school.
so the proposal was simple and sweet just as we both like it and i am completely in love with my ring!!! we''re heading to maine this weekend and i doubt there is internet so i will be MIA for a few days.
