:wavey: Hello everyone! First off I want to start by saying thank you to Pricescope and all the wonderful, knowledgeable people who post on here. Without PS I would have never discovered my dream diamond or been able to make such an informed decision along with my future fiance. My new pet rock arrived yesterday and I have to say I'm totally in love! Of course I need to show everyone here as a thank you for all of the help that this forum has given me. First off here is the link to the diamond from JA http://www.jamesallen.com/loose-diamonds/emerald-cut/2.08-carat-k-color-if-clarity-sku-176431 and here is the gemologist's description:

" The 2.08 carat-K-IF is a very beautiful option. It has a very good amount of brilliance, with a great amount of fire and sparkle. It is performing more like an asscher with the alternating squarish steps (due to the slight rectangular shape). It does have a little warmth face up, but is completely "eye clean". "

Pictures to come as soon as I figure out how to post them! First will be the ASET and Sarin from JA.

Please excuse the picture quality they were taken on my iPhone. I will be getting a new macro lens within the next couple days and hopefully that will improve the next batch of pictures I will be taking before it gets confiscated by FF ;(

Thank you all for looking!!!

PRETTY pretty pretty pretty!!!! I  ECs - so elegant and timeless! It looks smashing on you!

Thank you PintoBean! I have always admired step cut diamonds myself and am absolutely thrilled to have found this stone. I would love to hear more opinions about it from others and also suggestions on how to set it (since I don't think I directly mentioned this yet it is my e-ring diamond).

From one EC K girl to another... Fabulous!

Wow, it's a knock out!! Congrats! How will you set it?

I love it!

I would probably play up the warmth by setting it into a vintage style mount, like this: https://www.pricescope.com/community/threads/my-5-yr-anniversary-upgrade-2-52-emerald-cut-diamond.187820/

Beverly K makes beautifu pieces at very reasonable prices and can customize to the shape of your diamond. Something like this: http://www.pearlmansjewelers.com/jewelry-designers/beverley-k-jewelry/rings/98PP1/

Thank you MayK, Laila619 and Dreamer_D! I know that I love this diamond but hearing that others on here love it too reassures me even more that me and my FF made the right decision. As for setting it, I'm not really set on one style of setting or another quite yet. That first setting that Dreamer posted is absolutely to die for but I also like the idea of a simple solitaire setting to really make this beautiful diamond the star or a step-cut three stone with traps, bullets or straight baguettes (As you can see I'm a little indecisive ). However I would love to hear what everyone else has to say about the stone itself or their opinions on a setting style!

your EC is such a beauty, let her shine with the spotlight solely on her in a solitaire for a bit. Upgrade the setting on an anniversary if you want. :-)

It's so pretty! I have always loved the hall of mirrors in step cuts, but for some reason not on me. They still make my heart pitter patter when I look at them though. I love asscher girl's ring - would never have though to put a halo on an asscher, but it works. I have always visualized a step cut in a classic, streamlined setting. I would go for baguettes or bullets. Still lets your stone be the star and says elegance.

I'm soooo glad a PSer bought this diamond, I visited it daily on JA, then noticed it was gone! I also have a K EC and set mine E-W in the Sholdt semi-bezel. Faces up really white in that setting. I can't wait to see what you decide.
Lovely diamond :appl:

Very pretty! :appl:

Thank you Marcy, woofmama and blingymo!
In response to woofmama I'm glad I ended up with it too lol I've actually been stalking it for a couple of months before we purchased it (sometimes visiting multiple times a day) in fear that someone else would snap it up before my FF could get the funds together!

In response to pintobean's suggestion for a solitaire and to anyone else who would like to respond what would your opinion be on a three stone with matching traps? I think that idea is the strongest competitor in my head vs a simpler solitaire but I love both ideas so I really appreciate any thoughts.

I love your stone! Can't wait to see it set!

Beautiful diamond! I want to see the finished ring, too!

I love your EC!

FABULOUS Stone!! ARe you leaning towards vintage vs modern settings? or considering it as a 3 stone w bullets/baguettes/traps on either side???
I love that idea - but I'm a sucker for a 3 stone any day!

Thank you derbygal, diamondseeker2006, lknvrb4 & Enerchi!

In response to your question about the setting Enerchi I would love to set it with traps or in a platinum solitaire setting. Part of it is how much FF is willing to set for a setting budget. I will be contributing to the cost of the setting by selling some old gold jewelry I never wear so it's a little up in the air right now which is why I wanted to hear everyone's suggestions in the meantime. :)

Also another update the lens finally came so clearer pictures will be coming up within the next week. Sorry to keep everyone waiting but it's been an absolutely crazy week for me ending in getting sick yesterday and today :knockout: but I promise the pictures will come!

Gorgeous stone in every way! I love a warm EC.

It is so hard to pick settings without trying them on and seeing your shape and size of diamond in it. My EC RHR ended up in a baguette setting - I didn't even like the ring in the case but once I put it on my finger and dropped the EC diamond in it; I knew it was what I wanted.

I can't wait to see your finished ring. :appl:

How lucky to have an IF diamond! It's gonna be stunning!

GORGEOUS!!! Can't wait to see how you set that beauty!

I love your EC. If I could get three big rocks, the EC or Asscher would be it. Congratulations!!! Please post pics after it is set.

GORGEOUS!!!! Congrats!!!!!

Love this one!!! The ratio is very flattering! Cannot wait to see it set. Enjoy!

This is a lovely EC!! I really like the l:w ratio! Love a chubby EC!!
