Hi all,

after rounds and rounds of filtering, the following 2 Asscher Cuts on my list. But not sure which one for the final purchase.

Personal opinion:
- I am taking the following measurements for cut proportions as reference
table %: 60-67%
depth % 60-65%
length to width: 1-1.05
girdle thickness: very think - slightly thick

- comparing these 2 diamonds.
diamond 1 has an overall better cut proportions. diamond 2 has a deeper depth, and thicker girdle
inclusions on both diamonds seems acceptable
these 2 diamonds about the same price in my local currency.
ct. weight are 1.00ct and 1.01ct. However, diamond 2 measurements are than diamond 1, by 0.09mm. probably wasted on the thicker girdle.

Seeking help to make decision between these two diamonds. Thanks.

(sorry, both sellers blocked out the GIA #. guess they don't want me to find the diamonds in mass market)

Diamond 2)
apologise again, this seller doesn't really want to send me clear GIA cert. And send the left and centre session separately.

The measurements = 5.58*5.50*3.49mm

neither one.

Those both have major leakage. I'd keep looking

neither one.

am afraid, I only able to shop virtual diamonds during this covid period. many of the sellers are unable to provide actual diamond view pictures. guess I only can base on cut proportions on certs. Understand actual diamonds looks are way different from cut proportions.....
- if really need to choose between these 2, which one to go with?
- any better virtual options online? lets say Blue Nile? aiming for vss2+, ct1.00-ct1.1, 2ex, 1n,

Im not allowed to post stones for you but the prosumers here rock.
1 tip dont get to hung up on depth % pay attention to mm measurements being in a reasonable range.
depth is not equal to spread in fancy cuts like in rounds.

thanks for the tip. am I right to say look for the absolute mm measurements for length x width x height?
also avoid less black areas as much as possible on the image. event can't not impact the stones with ASET scope.

That is a beautiful find@musicloveranthony! OP, you should put it on hold if you're even slightly interested. Someone might grab it while you're deciding.

Yep!! That is one of the best non-branded cut Asscher I've seen. I'd put that on hold ASAP @HansenDeHCA

So Karl and musicloveranthony, how do you identify the leakage you saw in the first two diamonds from OP? Exactly - please - what are you seeing? I'm trying to train my eye and my old brain. I can see leakage in ebay oval sapphires and that's about it.
The Rare Carat diamond is certainly impressive. And Blue Nile is where diamondhoarder got her stunner, if I'm correct.

I'll defer to @Karl_K with that one. I'm not good at explaining things and I'm more of an "I know it when I see it type." Sorry, I know that's not helpful

the 1st 2 a lot of the stones area is dark at the same time.

thanks all for the recommendations.

By the way, GIA # 6214628427, if any one can help me to find the actual stone pic? not sure is there any in the mass market system? Much appreciate.
My seller is telling me this stone is in Belgium...not how true is it.
