Hi All
I'm putting out some feelers to see if anyone would be interested in purchasing my OEC diamond in a Platinum Jovyn setting.
I am located in Australia so would ideally be looking for a buyer in AU but would be open to posting internationally.
I am not in a hurry to sell so would only be looking to sell for the right price.
Diamond + Setting + taxes and import fees it came to around $15k. I bought the diamond loose in August last year, and sent it back to the US to Caysie for setting in December 2016, so it is still in great condition.

Please feel free to let me know if you are interested. Certifications etc can be provided if needed.

What a pretty stone!
Thank you - it's gorgeously faceted and is lovely and bright.

Price kind of high. I got a similar appearance certed 1.71 LVVS2 OEC for $6,000 US.

The stone was $6K USD. Same as yours. But translated to AUD it was $9k. + setting + taxes and shipping.
I am no expecting to sell at the same price I bought it for.

It's none of your business what she prices her ring at. That is very rude. :angryfire:

This seems to be a pattern with you:

Thank you. I am open to offers and certainly not expecting full wrap on a used stone - I just feel like a change and am happy to see it go to someone who will wear it in good health. =)2

Just to put in my two cents...

IMHO, it is entirely appropriate to comment on pricing, especially in PreLoved threads but also anywhere else on PS (excepting SMTB).

Pricing overall but particularly second-hand/pre-loved can be all over the map, with some sellers wanting to sell close to their original purchase price/market conditions and other sellers pricing lower in order to encourage a quicker sale.

How sellers choose to arrive at their listed price, and whether they are open to negotiation/comparisons, is up to the seller.

PreLoved threads are started by a PSer hoping to sell, and read by PSers who may purchase.

I for one have always appreciated reading comments about pricing posted by my fellow PSers. And, generally speaking, to my recollection, pricing comments by PSers are usually pretty accurate.

In this case, I agree with susan498 that the price the OP wishes to sell at in on the high side ... nothing wrong with that ... anyone hoping to sell and recover close to their purchase price would be pricing their preloved item on the higher side. And a potential PS purchaser is well-served by knowing that.

For that matter, the other pricing comment made by susan498 about the Memoire item for sale was also on point.

Personally I don't think PS and this forum in particular benefits from restrictions on price commentary.

Thank you for your comment Marymm.

I'd like to make it clear that the AUD$15k stated is not what I am asking for, but what I originally paid. I have not put a price on selling as I am just interested to see if there is someone out there who might like to buy. =)2

^ good to know McLaren.

Your diamond is beautiful with a lovely facet pattern; I'm sure there will be a lot of interest on it, and if you're certain you're ready to part with it, the right purchaser will be coming right along.

Ok, I am confused, what is the price?

There's no stated price. She paid 15K AUD and is willing to consider reasonable offers.

Hi, I'm an Aussie too!!! I suggest you put up a listing on Loupetroop so people can contact you easily and a general price in US dollars to go with it that is less than you paid for the item, so there is no confusion.

I’ve never sold any of my pieces before so this is a new concept - I didn’t realise I’d made it so confusing! :(

Just listed on LoupeTroop.
Listed as $9500 usd plus shipping but open to offers.

Good luck for the sale!! It's a beautiful ring.

Would you mind if I asked you a question? I am also outside of the US and have been trying to figure out for the longest time how to have insurance coverage for the stone if it's set by a vendor in the US. (i.e. how did you arrange the insurance coverage while you sent the stone to Caysie for setting)??

Thank you so much!! :)

Hi Mochiko,
Thanks for your message. I believe the insurance was run through FedEx but I'd have to check. Erica and Caysie sorted all the shipping for me which was a massive help - as I had no idea.
If you have a vendor in mind then check with them what can be done. Sorry I'm not very helpful!
xx
