Hi,
I recently purchased this 3 stone setting from a fellow PSer, but it doesn't seem to work well with my OEC so I am putting it up for sale. I paid 870 but invested 130 in sizing it down and mounting it, so I am trying to recover most of the costs. I plan to sell it for $1000. Please let me know if you are interested. I am not home now, so I will only post the link for the previous sale. Actually, I do have a link for my ring on PS too.

what size is the ring now?

size 6.25

braga: thanks for your transparency in explaining why the price increase. :)) While I hope its snapped up, I wanted to say that the costs of sizing it down to fit you and mounting your stone may not be costs PSers are willing to cover, as there is no perceived "value added" to them if you kwim.

It is a beautiful setting and I hope you are able to sell it quickly. :wavey:

It is a savings if they need a size 6.25! That's the way I hope someone sees it bc it is expensive to size platinum.

If you spent $130 to size and set your stone in it, I don't know that it's reasonable to expect a new buyer to cover the amount of money you spent to have your stone set, when the buyer isn't getting the stone, just the setting. Nor is it reasonable to expect someone to cover that cost if they have to size it up or down from what you have had done. The new owner is going to have to pay to get their stone set, and likely pay to have it sized as well. Honestly, I'd chalk what you paid to have that work done as a loss. Been there, done that.

Good luck selling it! I had eyed it before, as I have a garnet that would fit perfectly, but don't have the funds now.

Thanks! This is why I'm putting out feelers...I am still on the fence about keeping it so if I have to take a loss, I might just do that!

Really, you are supposed to post the ring for sale if you list here. That is the only way you are going to know if you will get offers.
