question about width of wedding band in relation to e-ring

just wondering if people prefer a wedding band that is the same width as their e-ring or if it looks betters a little thicker?
i have a knife edge tiff style e-ring and think i prefer the look of a plain thin (2-2.5mm) band with it, but for times i may wear the band by itself i think i prefer at least a 3mm look. any pics of thin knife edge rings w/ thicker bands?
