I need some help - if anyone knows the answer please post it here, or respond to one of my DB listings.

Periodically, I post on DB. After a few days, they fall off the DB radar, as other things get posted. So if someone wants to see the item, they have to do a search for (in my case) loose stones to see what I'm offering. I notice that when other folks have such listings and they reduce the price or mark it "SOLD!" it often shows back up on the first page like a fresh listing. When I've marked it "SOLD!" it stays where it is, and one would have to search for it to know it sold.

I realize I posted some of my stones too high in price and want to make price reductions. Is there a way to edit the listing and have it reappear fresh - so not 3 or 4 pages back, upfront again with the new information added? This has really puzzled me for a long time. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

TIA - and make offers on my stones please! They are very pretty IRL!

It used to be that you could do that.I would like my pieces for 1 week and then when I renewed the listing it brought it back to the top. With the new updates there doesn't seem to be any way to "bump" your listings until the 1 month expiration. I wish there were ways that you could sort the listings like you can with ebay, but that's not an option right now. Wish I had better news for you. :knockout:

What uppy said. The only way to bump is to copy and relist, which I wouldn't bother to do now that it costs money. I have not noticed things getting bumped when they are flagged as sold. You can try loupetroop.com (PSer created and tested) but it is not getting a whole lot of traffic yet. It is an awesome endeavor though.

Thank you both; I appreciate your feedback. Darn though!

It is a bummer, but it levels the playing field a bit, as there were some listers that "renewed" or deleted and re-did their listings over and over, so they were always close to the top, giving them an advantage over those who played by the rules. Now that it costs money to do that, I haven't seen it happen.

One seller (not a PSer) "viewed" her own listing so many times (on purpose) that it made it to the "Hottest Listings" when it had only been listed for a short time. The owner of DB has a way of tracking this btw.

So, if someone wants their listing consistantly at the top, it will cost them .99 everytime to do it.
