Question for the men

I''m not quite sure where to post this so I''m asking all you lovely ladies since I''m sure at least one of you will know!

I want to post a question to the guys on this board.

My question, you ask?

I want to know the specific reasons why men propose when they do, why they wait, does talking about getting engaged with their SO help or would they rather it be a total surprise? And so on and so forth... I kinda just want to get into the male mind and get their take on this.

So is this the right place? I wouldn''t think so, right? Most men on here wouldn''t come to Ladies In Waiting... right?

Hello bubbly1126 - See us guys do come into the LIW room , for me I was under the impression that Women like the actual proposal to be a surprise and I have gotten my head chopped off in several discussions on this site proving me wrong. My girlfriend and I of course have talked about the future, including getting engaged and ultimately married, she has the idea that I am saving for the ring sometime next year when in fact I already have it. For my situation it wasn’t that I wanted her to wait it was totally how much these diamonds actually cost even if you go economically it is still a months rent going up to a mortgage payment or better yet as someone else mentioned on this site a brand new Hyundai Car

Oh, how I wish my BF was as sneaky as you! (or is he?) lol. He just keeps telling me someday or soon. So naturally I don''t think it will be for a while now.

Oh, and I am one for it being a surprise. There are still a few of us women out there who like the element of surprise so don''t worry, I won''t chop off your head! lol.
