Questions on Blue Nile Cushion and Oval diamonds

I was looking around for a fancy shaped diamond and noticed that the Blue Nile Cushion and Oval diamonds are "prettier" with distinctive patterns (for the lack of better description words).




The Cushion and Oval diamonds in James Allen is "messy" with no distinctive patterns (is this the "crushed ice" messy look?).

Therefore, does it mean that the fancy shaped diamonds in Blue Nile will be a better choice if we are looking for a "chunkier" patterned sparkle?

What you are noticing is the difference between H&A cut (for cushions and ovals) vs. crushed ice. If you prefer H&A (the first sets of pics), then make sure to only consider those options. JA will sometimes have H&A patterns too, but that aren't super common on their website so you'll need to hunt for them.
