I read this in the print edition of, "The New York Times" today. It was, for me, a "feel good" article. Young soldiers, who had already been legal residents of the United States and who were on active duty in the military, got to become American citizens without paying the $320 fee that was hard for many of them and without returning to the US to meet with INS officers.
I am disgusted with current American foreign policy, but I am an American who gets chills when I think about what this country stands for...so it gave me chills to read about how these deserving young people, in harms way, were able to become citizens of our great country.
