Hi all, I don''t have this little upgrade in my hot little hands yet as it''s a long weekend here in AU so it will be a few days, but I figure the least I can do is share a few glamour shots until it''s here. Once again a huge thank you to AJ for her advice on the Fedex / FTA issues.

I went for a rose gold head on white gold band, because I love love love rose gold, but in order to match my existing eternity and wedding band which are both whitegold, I thought this was the way to tie them together. this is a bit of a "practice setting" for me, as I probably longer term want a custom made option but I wanted to get the stone and decide whether I''m happy with it size/colour wise before commiting my money to the setting.

Im not a huge fan of the straight shape of the claws, but again for the price I think the result is excellent and in real life they will hardly be noticeable.

But the best thing about this setting is how well it showcases the diamond itself. In my original ER the setting was beautiful, but the stone not so much, so this time I wanted the best stone we can afford right now and the setting can just do it''s job!

Very beautiful! What are the stats on your new stone? Did you end up keeping your old one?

thanks Lizzyann yes I kept the old diamond and setting, when it came down to it I have too much value in the setting for it to be wasted. who knows about the stone in the long term, but it''s probably worth keeping the ring just as it is. it has two small pink diamonds in the setting which mean a lot to me also. I will have to post stats once I have the ring

hey Legra, dandiandi, burberrygirl, aj and Yssie - again thanks for your comments. the Long weekend is extra looooooooong this weekend considering my new ER is on the other side of it!

Yes, it''s the 14k rose gold - I wanted as pink as possible and because it''s a K coloured stone I was concerned that white gold would somehow reflect the possible yellow tint whereas with rose I am hoping for more of a pink reflection if any at all. I must confess I am already imagining a couple of very fine diamond bands either side

For those interested, here are the stats on the stone. It''s from BGD, and as I really don''t understand what any of them really mean I was specifically just looking for "ideal". Again, because I have a stone that isn''t great performance wise that was the most important thing to me, over and above colour / size etc. At the time I bought this there was another Cushion with slightly larger faceup measurements, but for the .2mm this was a very attractive price. I love this!!! I saw a L colored stone IIRC in a rose gold head and it looked positively divine! I bet it will relfect and make for a really unique look for the stone. I think I can see some pink reflections in yours as well. I can''t wait to see more shots of this.

I actually realise I can''t wear all my rings at once but mixing and matching the rose gold is an excellent idea for me seeing as it''s most unlikely I will ever get them all remade in rose! as much as I would like to mind you ...

Amethyste - I think the prongs look really classic too, my personal preference would be something like the truth head but actually I''ve seen something here in AU that''s perfect for me but I want to make sure first I don''t want bigger or a 3 stone before going there. i''ve only been doing research on Cushions SINCE I bought this stone too, and am discovering so much, but I actually think this one will completely meet my needs, except I might like it to be an 8mm rather than 6mm
