Quitting Smoking

I noticed the other thread Lorelei had up was closed. I just wanted to share that I haven''t smoked for just a little over a year now and I''ve saved 400 dollars! lol (although I''m pretty sure they got spent on other frivolous items instead haha) Anyone else out there quitting or want to? It feels great!

This is such fantastic news Smurfy!!!!!!!!!!!!! I think you should buy yourself a sparkly treat with the money you saved......

I know how hard it is, My Dad quit smoking 9 years ago, it can be done, Congratulation ladies!

Yay! Congrats Smurfy and QueenMum! I quit on February 11th 2008, so according to my quitnet.com profile, I''ve saved $2975! So in just about a month it will be 2 years of being smoke free! Such a great feeling.

Of course I still crave one after eating or going out to the bars. Oh, and when I get stressed, but the positives far outweigh the negatives.

I quit using the patch and (believe it or not) the oprah.com message boards. They were fantastic. Hundreds of other people, just like me, taking it one day at a time.

Any other recent quitters or people thinking about quitting?
